NY Daily News (Mitch Lawrence)- TMac badmouthing Yao?

Just a blurb in a column from Mitch Lawrence in the NY Daily news. No direct quotes or sources, but I thought it was worth posting.

If this is true (and it seems flimsy), get TMac out of here NOW

    McGrady's Rockets

This is the fifth season Tracy McGrady and Yao Ming have played together in Houston, so you'd think by now that everyone would be comfortable with their roles. Apparently not. McGrady has been privately complaining to friends in recent days about Yao taking too many shots and not being tough enough. Like McGrady has never been accused of either.

    Tmac complaining....LOL.....

You have to love it when the guy that is the problem starts pointing fingers at everyone but himself.

Yes by all means let's get the career 40% shooter more shots over the career 50% shooter.

This is Yao's team....Tmac just doesn't like it.

Screw him...he had his chance to lead....

From a pure % standpoint, Yao needs to be taking probably twice as many shots. He's as unselfish as they come.

are they serious? tracy was the only one who passed the ball to yao consistently in the thunder game.

but when you're down, it's expected

I could understand if it was more like "Yao MISSING too many shots, and not being tough enough."

That's something that's been echoed by many people... and in a large part true, if this team is losing games with Yao going 3-10 and grabbing only 6 rebounds.

But yea, if its coming from T-mac, its a little hypocritical... but his point has some basis.

Yeah let's all believe the random tabloid rumor.

    LOL...

Let's not consider that T-Mac has had nothing but praise for Yao since day 1...

    LOL...

    This could be....

Of course when Yao said the team was soft, Tmac did say he would ISO him...so.......maybe it is not all right in the locker room between them...

that's one prob with Yao, if he is on an off night he normally doesn't produce anywhere else.

Other players pick up assists etc. But when it's bad for Yao, he's normally turning it over like crazy and missing dunks. (like he's exhausted).

either way, the source of this controversy is questionable.

if tmac played enough games with yao, then i'd take it as legitimate argument, complaining, whatever you call it. problem is he's missed so many games so it looks funny. besides, why yao but not rafer, scola, ab or wafer, who took his place? i just hate to see him doing damage even before any benefits!
