Yes, he's the most bestest evar no matter what tests he fails or pro day he bombs, or combine he fails to impress, or individual workout he bombs, or......
Bridgewater may fall there but I know Manziel will be a second rounder. I'll take Manziel in the second round and make him a back quarterback and work with him and develop him for 2 years before playing him. His size is the issue and didn't played a pro style offense in college.
I think hype alone will be enough to ensure someone picks him in the first. Add in that he's actually got some talent and I think he's a lock to be a top 15 pick.
You still think so? What would it take to change your mind? Is there anything that would change your mind?
Playing in a pro style offense in college when most college defenses aren't equipped to defend that is a overrated criteria for a quaterback. Cam and many others didn't play in a pro style offense in college either.
I posted this already elsewhere, but it seemed pertinent here as well New article out today talking more about a potential Bridgewater fall. Spoiler
Uh no. In this class I think teddy is the best qb. If mariota was in this draft that could possibly change my mind but would very close.
Bridgewater Smarter than Manziel? "Manziel reportedly scored a 32 on the 50-question, 12-minute test, which was administered during the February scouting combine in Indianapolis. Bortles reportedly recorded a 28, while Bridgewater scored a 20. Manziel’s score was the highest among draft-eligible quarterbacks." http://blog.chron.com/ultimatetexan...s-bridgewater-bortles-on-nfls-wonderlic-test/
give me a QB that can read a defense presnap, has a feel for a pocket, goes through his progressions, THEN runs if he needs to. give me Bridgewater.
@ all butt hurt Manziel fans Who wants a midget as their starting quarterback on their team? Russell Wilson was a first round prospect but when to the 3rd round due to his size. But Russell Wilson he's a steroid user and is the reason why he's succeeding. Manziel is a midget. and steroids will save his career is uses them. And Manziel's size isn't my only concern. He didn't played a real pro style offense. Look at Zach Mettenberger who RAN an NFL-style offense under coordinator Cam Cameron. Too bad his ACL will hurt him and lower his stock, Zach will be a good back up quarterback. Johnny Manziel is so overrated..
