If you ever actually watched Young at BYU he could do everything Johnny can do with much faster straight speed.

Cam Newton is by far in away the greatest playmaker ever to play college ball.

Won a BCS title pretty much by himself

I did not see Young play at BYU so I can't judge him. But, yes I think JFF is the best playmaker I've seen at the college level, even better than Cam or VY.

Those guys all have better arms than Bridgewater.

Greatness is a combination of mental and physical attributes. Manziel has the edge over Bridgewater when it comes to physical tools...I dont think even you can deny that. Also, when the pressure is on, Manziel is as rock solid as it comes, so at least he has that tough mental makeup too. You talk about football instincts with Bridgewater...Manziel has crazy football instincts. So basically, Teddy has better "football IQ" and pocket presence.

All in all, the edge still goes to Manziel for greatness. You cant ride this "football IQ" for every argument. There is much more to football than that.

Oh yes he can... And he will.

Just like the LOF's with Lin. They always pull out the "Basketball IQ" card at a drop of a dime. Even though he runs in the lane not knowing what to do with the ball at times like a d@mn fool.

Who is the best QB now may not be the best QB in the future. Right now I think Manziel is the best QB now, with TB second. I don't think we will be saying the same in a couple of years.

Clearly it will be Bortles in a couple years.

It also depends on what team drafts them and how patient they are. Could be an Aaron Rodgers or a David Carr.

I actually think that in a few years Mettenburger, Murray, and Carr could be better than Bridgewater, Manziel, and Bortles.

That's why you take Clowney with the first pick, and hope one of top-five drop to the second round.

I look at it this way, the argument for who should be the first pick has always been Clowney vs ______. They have filled in the blank with Manziel, Bridgewater, Bortles, Mack, trade back, and whoever, but Clowney has always been in that other slot. IMO that says it all. Right now people are talking about Bridgewater falling to the second, we've heard about Manziel potentially falling in the draft, Bortles falling out of the top 10, notice how we've never heard about Clowney falling any farther than 3rd....and even that is an extreme.

I feel like all of these other names that keep getting thrown in there as candidates for the first pick is just something the media is doing so that they'll have a story. No one wants to report back in February that Clowney is the obvious first pick and that's that. They want to invent some kind of competition to keep the story alive.

Draft Clowney number one and make a serious effort to acquire the second overall pick for Manziel. I swear to God, fans and the media would go nuts if the Texans pulled that off.

Tend to agree - but I would also add Garoppolo.
In the right system I rate them:- 1. Murray, 2. Bortles, 3. Carr, 4. Manziel, 5. Garoppolo, 6. Bridgewater, 7. Mettenberger.

Wouldn't it be cool if we get the best available at every position?

Teddy Bridegewater is the smartest quarterback in this draft. Who cares about the stupid test. Dan Marino scored a 15 and he's still a hall of fame. Bridegwater the smartest, Bortles is the most athletic, and Manziel is a diva.
