DMo is more unique...I think they just saw a higher ceiling with him and he doesn't shoot jumpers from the post up position. A better fit with James.

I can understand why power forwards like Morris and Patterson who rely on the mid-range shot would be frustrated being in Houston. Even Scola would probably struggle if he rejoined the Rockets this offseason.

Morris and Patterson shot the three great here. I would not say they relied on the mid-range shot. Also, I would be perfectly fine with Patterson shooting the mid-range. Not looking at stats but purely off memory of observing him, I think he's one of those shooters you let shoot the midrange. His midrange was money!!!

Their problem was not shooting but rebounds and defense (while they were with the Rockets).

Will admit he almost had me convinced at the time with the amount of detail he put in that post.

I think the key with Detroit is how SVG took the hit on Josh Smith's contract, and gave away Greg Monroe via free agency. And got better by playing the Orlando Dwight 4 shooters and 1 dominant center offense.

Wish we could've played this type of offense, at least when Harden is off the floor.

I wasn't arguing that. The other poster said they relied on the midrange shot, which was incorrect. Thanks for educating me on their rebounding and defense though. I totally missed that.

Sorry, my bad - I meant no disrespect. I was just noting the possible reason why they didn't last here, not to educate you. I'm sure you already knew their shortcomings.
