What advanced Stats? Lineups with dmo and Howard were better per 100 possessions than Jones/Howard

Starting to think we won't get Rondo, so brace yourselves for a Kyle Lowry type move(bring in a highly touted player who hasn't fully developed yet) and say hello Dennis Schroder ladies and gentleman. Don't know who or what we would give up. I just expect a move no one is looking for from Morey.

    Rondo? Rubio? Draft picks? SMH.
Just after the failed Bosh signing, I asked if Morey's ultimate goal is to eventually win. Months later, the question is still relevant. When will this constant "fuite en avant" ends? The time for the Roxs to contend is now. Dwight's prime is right now. One year of his prime being wasted is one year less in this organisation's window to contend. This deplorable situation was quite avoidable if Daryl "Redknapp" Morey had actually bit the bullet like Cuban did and decided to pragmatically build a contending team instead of acting as useful idiot for Bosh due to a misguided wish for a superteam Miami-style. For you see, there is no middleground with Morey, it's either a feast or a famine. Hence, instead of using Asik as trade bait to go for a good stretch 4 like Ryan Anderson, Morey dumped him basically on a free to the Hornets to clear salary in the wild hope of capturing Bosh. In the same way, loss of playmaking ability with the departure of Lin and of Parson was not remedied while solid vets like Jameer Nelson and Ramon Sessions were available. Another year goes by with no attention being given to actually finding a legit SG who can relieve Harden. The latter being of course expected to play heavy minutes as the de-facto PG in a very stereotyped style that is actually stunting the growth of his skillset.
In the end, left with defensive stopper Beverley and a TJones who can neither score a jumpshot nor defend for ***** against the west PFs, we are now to believe that the Roxs problems can be solved by pairing Harden with ball dominant PGs who can't shoot a lick and by stockpilling frigging draft picks? A contender actually trading for picks? One could say that it is quite natural that Moreyesque tragedy (Bosh) should be followed by Moreyesque farce.

I was calling for trading Asik asap for Ryan Anderson back when he was sulking on the bench with BS made-up injuries along with trading Lin (for which I got labelled LOF) because of lack of fit and acquiring a good SG that can relieve Harden. But I also predicted that Morey's mercenary attitude will backfire, hence me calling him the "Harry Redknapp of the NBA". That was nearly a year ago. And yet, here we are.

You mean the guy who suffered a herniated disc (two actually)? that Ryan Anderson? Would have definitely made all the difference last year, good call, realistically he's still at least a year away from consistent production again.

As for backup SGs, we probably have better wing depth than anyone not named San Antonio right now....

And Kostas (you know the guy who replaced him as the starter during pre season? well you probably don't) as well as Garcia...You do realise that shooting guard and small forward is fairly interchangeable right?

I wouldn't say that's great depth. Garcia isn't that good and Kostas hasn't even played a real game yet.

Schroder definitely has potential. Would definitely like to see Morey try and get him.

LOL at people still criticizing DM for losing out on Bosh.

I remember people saying that DM was causing Houston to look desperate for trying to trade for D12 and then criticized him when his trade for Pau Gasol fell through. DM then parlayed a perpetual .500 team that couldn't make the play-offs and didn't have an all-star player into a 50+ win team with the leagues best 2 guard and best center.

DM may not be perfect but the critics who act like he doesn't know what he is doing are beyond pathetic.

assuming NOLA would trade anderson, what makes you think Morey didn't pursue that trade? There's no indication that NOLA was shopping Ryo.

Let's not forget that a NOLA style pick was the centerpiece of the Harden deal (in a historically weak draft no less). Saying we dumped Asik for nothing is disingenuous as best, astoundingly ignorant at worst.

The pellies pick is virtually guaranteed to be Be a lottery pick, possibly even more valuable if owners vote to make the top 5 picks subject to lottery as is being proposed. It was a very fair deal for an expiring contract of a disgruntled starter. I'm Assuming You'd Rather See him leave for Nothing?

No, your answer is Ramon sessions (complete defensive liability) or Nelson.

Guys -- I found David Kahn's Clutchfans account!

    Tobias Harris anyone?

Adrian Wojnarowski ‏@WojYahooNBA 25m25 minutes ago
After reaching terms on Nik Vucevic extension, Orlando will keep working on Tobias Harris talks. Still significant gap there, sources say.
