    Dunning-Kruger effect

"The Dunning–Kruger effect is a cognitive bias manifesting in two principal ways: unskilled individuals tend to suffer from illusory superiority, mistakenly rating their ability much higher than is accurate, while highly skilled individuals tend to rate their ability lower than is accurate. In unskilled individuals, this bias is attributed to a metacognitive inability of the unskilled to recognize their ineptitude. Skilled individuals tend to underestimate their relative competence, erroneously assuming that tasks which are easy for them are also easy for others."

You might be a moron if you don't realize that team chemistry is better this year without Jeremy 7in, Calvin Klein Parsons, and Thigh-Contusion Asik.

he actually does kind of pull point guards out of nowhere. so, one of his best attributes you listed like it's one of his worst?

Both Ariza and Parsons have of experience playing in the NBA, we're not exactly talking about unknown commodities here. Hence your point is invalid since posters can infer from previous years how Ariza and Parsons will play so all you really need is one game to see if your expectations confer to reality.

im like morey but this is a huge flaw. the best available shot isnt always a layup or 3. you have to shoo the mid range jumper too. to explain this means u dunno what basketball is, just nba and advanced stats.

The only issue I have with Morey is that instead of trying to compete he is always trying to add another piece. Rockets have basically wasted this season with a garbage supporting cast around Harden and Howard.

Who on our team other than Harden can make midrange shots?

No, YOU don't understand what Morey and the coaching staff says. The players take whatever shot they're good at, period. The problem is 99% of players aren't good at the mid range but because they're open that's the shot they take so unlike the dumbass lakers the Rox discourage the mid range shot because all things equal it is the worst shot in bball(less pts than a 3, lower percentage than layup). Obv if you can hit midrange shots at a high clip ala LMA the coaching staff are gonna give you the green light. Guess what type of shots Pat Pat took when he was on the squad (hint: it ain't a layup or 3)?

This is one of the myths people like to perpetuate which make no ******* sense, if a guy was amazing at a certain type of shot why would they ban that dude from doing what he's good at?

This kind of post would be a banworthy offense on a lot of forums... and should be here.

I don't care how old his account is, OP is just trolling with this kind of crap.

7 years--and we haven't gotten past the second round of the playoffs; only once did we get to the second round.

Many of those years we had really good teams who "just missed" the playoffs.

7 years of underachieving. 7 years of not meeting expectations.

Quick summary: Yao goes out on a bad note; McGrady traded away; the guy they trade McGrady for is ridiculed and traded for the Beard; Scola dumped (I mean, amnestied); Patterson, Dragic, Lowry, Budinger--dumped; Parsons--dumped, excess backage; Lin and first round pick--just given away; can't negotiate with Asik, he leaves to make best front court in the league with New Orleans; Beard great, but not great in playoffs; Brooks--dumped, becomes a star in Chicago; we get the 14th pick for like 4 years in a row; none of our draft picks ever materialize into anything great; the TRob debacle; Chuck Hayes wants out, etc. etc.

    One word: Milkhair
    Another word: Royce White

Talk about oversimplifying. Not to mention the handful of just innaccurate info. Typical of the Morey hating crew.

As I posted earlier. JVG and Zach Lowe, 2 of the better basketball minds out there have nothing but praise for what Morey has done with The Rockets.

Infact I believe the words JVG used to explain how Morey went from 2 broken down superstars to 2 top 10 guys with out tanking was "one of the great GMing heists in the history of the league"

I logged in just to vote this thread down. This thread doesn't need a Mor- prefix, just a plain old -ic suffix at the end.
