Who knows yet. If he hadn't had his face broken by a fly ball before last season, he's maybe/probably a late 1st/2nd type talent (BA ranked him the #28 college draft-eligible player before the season)
Hadn't seen this posted, sorry if duplicated: "We're trying to get something done on the Minor League side in Fayetteville [NC]," Astros owner Crane told MLB.com on Wednesday. "If they get a stadium built and the economics are current, we are committed to try and buy and move a team there." Getting out of the Cali league and into the Carolina would be a wonderful thing, plus it's beautiful there. Great roadie potential. http://m.astros.mlb.com/news/article/186969250/astros-interested-in-affiliate-in-fayetteville
If a legitimate ace is available on the market, do you guys think we give up the farm for that player? We can definitely win it all this year, but we have to win the WC game first. One game matches allow for luck to play a much bigger part than normal. If we are indeed in the WC game, its going to be against fantastic hitting teams like the Red Sox or Blue Jays. Unless Keuchel returns to form, that is going to be one scary game. The ace whoever it is will be very very pricey and will deplete our farm system. But if we can for sure win that WC game, I really think we have a shot to go on a great postseason run.
This has nothing to do with moving a farm team to The Woodlands/Conroe area. The Astros and Rangers are thinking about moving their High-A teams from the California League to the Carolina League.
Personally, I would give up a huge package IF it didn't include Bregman. A Springer, Correa, Altuve, Bregman future sounds too good to give him up
I don't think so, from what I had read they were looking at Woodlands as an upper level team, not single A
Eh, he had gone 5-13 the three preceding games. I think he might be starting to find his groove again.
