Didn't realize Bregman added 20 lbs this offseason. Might just be PR, but he just said on MLB Network that he feels just as comfortable at 3B as he does at SS.
I get it and I applaud your optimism, but the futures game is during All Star Weekend (which is a week and a half away), so it doesn't really make sense to even hope for it.

I seriously hope Bregman goes to AAA and completely tears it up. If we could add his bat to the puzzle at 3B, then this lineup would round out very nicely. They could put Valbuena at DH (or 1B with Reed playing DH, either way), and finally go full platoon with Gattis/Castro at Catcher... and for the love of all that is holy, we would stop seeing Gattis DH against Righties.
Time for scouts to eat crow and elevate Bregman in the prospect ranking. They had Swanson and the Rogers rated higher, and have been slow to elevate Bregman into the top tier of prospects. But as far as I'm concerned, he's shown more than either Swanson or Rogers.
The general scouting consensus now is that he's at least a grade better power-wise than was previously thought. At draft time the general belief was that he had at best 15-18hr power and now it's thought he can top 20hrs. As for rankings, the scouts themselves don't rank anyone. The magazines and prospect services compile scouting opinions into rankings. Really, it doesn't matter to me. All three of those guys are great SS prospects and while Bregman's had the best start to his career it's still way to early to call it a race.
All 3 look good to me, and those 2 are believed to have more defensive ability than Bregman. Bregman does look pretty incredible with the bat right now.
They are, pretty much at a consensus. If it's real, Bregman's future grade goes from 55-60 to maybe even 65. Legit top 10 prospect.
James Hoyt struck out the side in order for his 19th save. He now has 68 K in 38.1 IP. Brendan McCurry has a 58:8 K:BB ratio between Corpus and Fresno this season.
