Les has been a very good owner. We have to accept some things. If there ever was a season to tank, it was this one. And we traded for Camby and ran from the lottery as hard we could. The lottery actually had to catch us and pull us back into it. If we didn't tank this season, we are never going to tank with Les. Accept it. Get over it. And look at the opportunities. We are still staring at the possibility of acquiring Dwight and DWill. I know nobody believes it. But all the same, until DWill signs elsewhere, the possibility is there. And it has better odds of happening than us tanking, then winning the lottery, then drafting a mega-star.
hey, at least we'll always be the lottery champions. now we been winning the title for the third year in a row!! woohoo!!!
All these tanking proponents would be terrible GM's...thats why DMorey still has a job...and you keep talking nonsense...Bad Teams tank...and most still will need to
Words. If the Rockets ever did Tank(rebuild) they would never admit to it. No team that does ever do.
I get so frustrated reading this garbage. Our goal was to make the playoffs. Our Goal should be to have a shot at a championship. For that to make any sense we would have to win less than 22 games No, it makes a ton of sense to gamble and develop younger talent. It doesn't make sense to not commit to a direction. As soon as the Gasol trade failed, it should have been clear what this team needed to do. Either go all in, or break it up. Another wasted Rocket Year, more PR spin.
Darrell Morehead probably still feels confident that he can make a trade for that big star. We have come close so maby times -- with Carmelo, with Amare, with Deron Williams, with Dwight Howard. Remember Pau Gasol? It's only a matter of time before one of them roll our way, and with star players demanding moves to new teams seemingly every year now, I like our chances. Bottom line is, we have a team steeped in solid players. We're too far ahead talent wise to compete with tge likes of the Bobcats, Wizards, and Hornets for the hope of drafting an Anthony Davis. To be honest, I'd rather stay the course we are now instead of getting a 6 or 7 pick.
The only games I will accept a tank, we've already been eliminated from the playoffs. We can't gain anything from a win. Play the hell out of Morris, Fortson, Smith, Simpson, and Parsons. Dragic, Scola, Lee, Dalembert and Camby especially, need to sit the fk down and heal. Next year. We will be in the Western Conference finals starting Dwight Howard at center, Scola at the power forward, Parsons at the small, Lee at the off guard, and Dragic at the point. Sick. I am about to go into a 6 month hibernation as I wait, impatiently, for the 2012-13 season to begin. Always and Forever, Go Rockets.
