durant is an unbelieveble scorer but i dont know yet if he will be able to elevate his teammates or if he will be a ray allen type with his beautiful shot its a tough one
I will pick Durant because he's virtually unstoppable. He's average top 5 in the league in ppg with almost 50% shooting in his 2nd year? while his other stats are gradually on the rise as well? This is a no brainer.
Durant. He's good enough to overcome the reality that great PG's are much harder to find than scoring wings. He's just that good. He has range, he gets to line MUCH more than Rose.....this one is tough given the PG vs 2/3 element, but Durant is the better player right now and the one I would have to pick.
Ill always go with the guy that can make his teammates better. Shooting isn't the lost art, the rarest attribute is making your teammates better.
Rose. Great facilitator and is undoubtebly going to be one of the top point guards in the NBA. First year averages are outstanding. Looks to involve his team mates where ever possible but can also score himself. Nothing against Durant... he will most likely become a superstar in his own right.
durant, honestly, just like his game more. he'll be top 3 scorer next year. book it. but really, rose because he's a pg who can create for others and do things that durant can't do. tough call.
Durant, guy is going to be a star. I like how he wants the ball late in games too, Rose seems too scared to be THAT GUY. That being said, if Rose finds a way to become THAT GUY I'd take him in a heartbeat. Just because it is much harder finding a really good PG, than a really good shooting SF. Also just to add, Rose sounds really dumb in his interviews, I'm just saying 1 year in college he should at least sound somewhat intelligent, I swear if I just heard his voice without seeing the person I would have a tough time even saying he has graduated high school and probably struggling just to get past middle school.
Kevin Durant 0.476 FG 0.422 3p% 0.863 FT% 25.3 PPG 6.50 RPG 2.8 APG Born: Sep 29, 1988 Height: 6-9 / 2,06 I fear for the league. I wonder if Durant can achieve a holy trinity season 50/40/90.
Two of my five favorite players in the NBA. I can't decide yet. I think Rose has the higher upside because of what he can do as a PG, but I want to see how much of a step he takes from his rookie year to next season. If he steps it up like KD did, then I would choose him. I've slathered over KD on the forum ever since he came into the NBA. He has a chance to be very special. Few young players are as dedicated to improving themselves as KD. He has a laser-like focus similar to MJ and Kobe. At this moment, I'd choose KD but not very confidently because Rose might become the best PG in the NBA in a couple of years. durvasa, KD missed a chunk of games in March and the Thunder collapsed in April. KD wasn't the only one that tailed off. It's almost like the last 2-3 weeks of the season they started thinking about the draft lottery instead of playing hard (the 2 wins against the Spurs aside).
