Do you want the honest opinion or the Homer in me opinion? Because I think both. Rockets could have signed him but I do believe that Ariza brings the same ability to knock down shots and slash without the fan girls. For the Mav's, tying up that much money for a 3rd option isn't really the way to go, especially in this CBA era.

what about webber being traded on draft night by Orlando to Golden State for Hardaway, sure shaw and lil penny were great but makes you wonder what webber and shaw could have done together

something a little more obscure LMA drafted #2 by the bulls and traded to trailblazers for ty thomas and crap....

    the cancelled Chris Paul trade

    OKC trading Haren

Reminds me. Webber won Rookie of the Year and got GSW back to a 50-win team. But for some reason Nelson and Webber didn't mesh, so GSW traded the ROY after just his first year, for Gugliotta.

Took GSW 13 yrs to get back to .500 and barely make the playoffs. They only made the playoffs 1 yr in 18 yrs after trading Webber.

True about Anthony. But that doesn't mean drafting Darko didn't set the Pistons back.

They could have picked Bosh or Wade. There were about 30 players in that draft class that would have been better than Darko.

Problem with lebron is they got too good too fast, ruined the opportunity for a OKC style spamming of the top of the draft.

    2004 notables -Dwight, Iggy, Deng
2005 notables - Chris Paul, Dwill with ankles, Bogut
2006 notables - Lma, Brandon Roy, Rugby Gay

if they had sucked just that bit more for a few more years as Lebron developed out of HS, would've been a different story, also the Boozer betrayal

Definitely. Some people think the potential T-Mac/Howard combo would have been good. But I personally think the Vince/McGrady combo would have been better. imo

Well, some people (many people) say Yao Ming was better than Howard. So ...

T-Mac hated the stupid GM at Orlando. He wasn't staying. Talking about TMac/Howard simply wasn't going to happen. And turns out ORL still made it to the Finals.

If the Rockets with TMac/Yao were in the East...

If we had Tmac and Yao in the East we make it to the finals at least twice. I don't think we beat the the big 3 Celtics or the '04 Pistons. But we could probably take the Cavs place against the Spurs (and lose) and we'd beat the Magic in '09 so long as Yao stays healthy.

The Rockets not drafting Kawhi Leonard.

He could have been the 3rd star.

Seriously. Most likely would have dealt him or parsons by now and gotten another really good player.

Nah we would have definitely given him the max as soon as possible.

Morey does not trade max players
