I figured it would be convenient to have a thread where we could post/discuss all the impressive stat lines from each night. This will come in handy when someone has a sick stat line but isn't quite thread worthy. I mean, we don't need a new thread for every guy that has a nice game, do we? I personally don't think so. Feel free to nominate/discuss whoever you want, but I'm personally looking for guys that excel in multiple categories, and I hold FG% in high regard. So without further ado, here are some of the best stat lines that I came across tonight... Official? Yeah, cause I said so
Very nice line indeed, but it's worth mentioning the 35% shooting, although he did hit the game winner.
No Nick Young? 33 points (76% FG), 2 rebounds...okay, so he didn't do much else. But the guy's shot was lights out!
Oh...and VINCE CARTER deserves a mention! 4 points (1/10), 0 rebounds, 1 assist, 0 steals, 0 blocks, 4 turnovers, and -24 while on the court.
Co-winners CP3 is a usual suspect so I wasn't going to vote for him but damn 7 steals?! Along with 33 points and 10 boards for a guy that's barely 6'0 ? Impressive. Jason Kidd can you say "OWNED" ? Brad Miller. Granted the game went 3 OT's if Yao scored 30 and grabbed 22 boards the board would go nucking futs. Pretty impressive stats considering he was playing against the younger, quicker, more agile Biedrins.
hey leave VC alone! He had a scalabrine fall on his leg and he still came back to play. No guessing how many games T-mac would have been out if he had the same injury.
HTML: Bench Min FG 3Pt FT +/- Off Reb Ast TO Stl BS BA PF Pts M. Ely 6:01 0-0 0-0 0-0 -2 0 1 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 S. Marks 4:47 0-0 0-0 0-0 +7 1 1 0 0 0 0 0 1 0 H. Armstrong 4:16 0-0 0-0 0-0 -5 0 0 0 1 0 0 0 2 0 thats 15 mins, Zero points not even a shot attempt or FT, 2 boards, zero blocks, 1 turnover, 3 fouls from your backup centers, in a game tied going into the 4th quarter and its still better than Yao's current backup.
T-mac just announced he is out indefinitely with sympathy pains from watching his cousin get injured tonight. He will be shutting it down for awhile longer unfortunately.
Sure that's nice, but I think "near quadruple double" is an exaggeration. Notable quad-doubles (and near quad-doubles) by former Rockets: Hakeem Olajuwon: March 29, 1990, Houston vs. Milwaukee; 18 points, 16 rebounds, 10 assists, 11 blocks Hakeem Olajuwon: "March 3, 1990, Hakeem Olajuwon ... was credited with 29 points, 18 rebounds, 10 assists, and 11 blocks in a game against Golden State. The NBA does not recognize this as a quadruple-double in his biography, although he is credited with 10 assists in his career stats. The initial game report credited Olajuwon with only 9 assists. Later review of the game by the team led to him being awarded a tenth assist; however, the NBA did not allow the late change and refused to recognize the feat as a quadruple-double." Clyde Drexler: January 10, 1986, Portland at Milwaukee; 26 points, 9 rebounds, 11 assists, 10 steals. Clyde Drexler: November 1, 1996, Houston vs. Sacramento; 25 points, 10 rebounds, 9 assists, 10 steals. link
35%, but he still scored 25 points on 17 shots. He was 4-9 from three and 9-10 from the FT line. Would you like to see better than 2-8 on his 2 pointers, of course, but it was sill a solid game. His 7 assists also led the team.
no doubt. he's struggled a bit lately since KMart came back, but is still shooting 47% from the field and over 40% from three this year. If only he was younger - he's just six months younger than Tracy. Still, he has a lot less mileage on those knees than TMac. Wouldn't mind him on the Rockets, that's for sure.
I had him on my fantasy team last year when he was filling in for Ron and putting up big numbers. I threw out a few trade scenarios here on the board which included him, but most people seemed to think he was fool's gold. I think he's proven that to be false, and I'd love to have him on the team. EDIT: Actually found the posts I made last year... http://bbs.clutchfans.net/showpost.php?p=3332618&postcount=8 http://bbs.clutchfans.net/showpost.php?p=3675175&postcount=67 http://bbs.clutchfans.net/showpost.php?p=3742627&postcount=14
it's sad that I can actually see why the above trade would have been frowned upon last year, too. But damn, that would be nice right now. With Bibby's career "resurrection" - in quotes because for whatever reason there was this stigma around him that he wasn't that great anymore in Sacramento, which completely ignored the fact that he is still a solid, quality starting PG in this league, with Salmons now proven ability to be an effective player, and most importantly with what's happened to TMac this year, man that'd be a nice trade right now. Bibby, Salmons, Battier/Artest, Scola, Yao with a bench of Brooks, Wafer, Artest/Battier, Landry and Deke would be very solid.
I knew when Paul had that stat line last night you'd find some way to mention it here because he's on your fantasy team.
