Yeah, I know, another T-Mac and NYK article - my apologies. Though there are some interesting tidbits in there from Morey imo. http://www.nypost.com/p/sports/knicks/without_tracy_d0qa8x6zcshAPsjJbiTaFP
Having watched Jordan Hill play live for the entire 4th period of the Knicks game vs. Phx this season, I'm not sure why Morey is interested. He's big and athletic but pretty unskilled.
It's only a matter of time folks...all those "you can't get anything for T-mac" critics will soon be eating crow.
Well, I'm glad there's a market for such a big expiring contract. And I'm glad that there's going to be some deal done for T-Mac before the deadline. Certainly beats getting nothing if simply expires.
Considering the fact that the Knicks have been maneuvering for this 2010 Lebron push for like, 3 years, I find it a bit hard to believe that they would let Jordan freaking Hill stand in the way of that masterplan.
WOW...Harrington not being able to crack the rotation seems wild. Hey I trust RA and DM so if they think he is more a product of their system then his game then it sounds very logical but just blows my mind that he wouldn't see time. Side note - Watching Jeffries on Sat night showed me why DMorey doesn't want to get near the guy, good defender but NO offensive game at all.
this article seems to be filled with houston based propogand 7 proposals mentioning an average-above average expiring as not being able to crack our rotation morey indicating that he thinks there is a deal to be made hell, it sounds like morey wrote the article
Morey's refusal to take Jeffries is probably the bigger hold up. Morey wants expirings+young prospect for McGrady the player (NY doesn't have anything worth taking on future salary for); NY sees no point in doing a trade for McGrady the contract that doesn't involve dumping Jeffries or Curry. Hard to see a deal getting done unless there's a third team, and we need NY to break tmac's contract into smaller parts.
Sounds like Walsh is so far throwing Al Harrington into the mix, and why the heck would we want a player NY will waive anyway next summer just for the luxury of taking on Jeffries? Good lawd! Morey'll take Jeffries if he must, but Walsh has to budge and give up Hill or Toney or both or whatever.
Dude - don't blow his cover - you know all the newspaper hacks from around the country are stalking this site . . .
Lets guess where are the 7 proposals from: 1) NY 2) PHI 3) WAS 4) CHI 5) MIA 6) ?? 7) ?? #1-#5 have been discussed on this board. Not sure who are #6 & #7.
