Morey is eying Jordan hill who could replace an outgoing talent like scola… and he’s from… gee… Arizona!

This could give Landry the start he needs...

also could dump Mac and clear cap...

Sir I see you're a man with a very high business acumen. Speaking of new york ive got a bridge there I'm desperate to sell, I'm practically giving it away I tell ya! Order now and receive two for the low low price of 19.95. Act now and I'll throw in a Shamwow!

It can also mean that one team or another might have 2 or 3 different offers or combinations (spelling?) on the table.

One has to wonder why? Harrington is very experienced, can play the uptempo game & knows exactly how to put the ball in the basket.
    This season:
    shooting 44%, 30% 3pts, 75% FT, 6 RBS/Gm 18.4 pts /gm

Is it the fact that he is established and may not be humble enough to adapt to Coach 'A'. It certainly says that we are not in a win now mode but building a contender by being careful and finding just the right parts for a future run! :p

I'm surprised that Morey virtually said we're definitely trading TMac. If that's the case he has to be prepared to take at least one of the 7 proposals as is. That's a lot of proposals to seriously consider.

So now he waits until Feb. 19th and hopes somebody gets more desperate before then.

Those are just 7 teams at this time who are willing to either get under the luxury tax next year (Jazz) or who are willing to admit TODAY that their season is a wash and would like that magical redo.

Before February 19, there will be a lot more teams than just 7 who realize that this isn't going to be their season nor will next year be as status quo and will like that redo.

Teams have known for about a year that McGrady is available. So just because DM finally announced it to the media doesn't change what the rest of the league already knew.

Why is it so hard for folks to understand that we are getting the WORLD for Tracy's contract as we are positioned nicely for the perfect storm ?

$23 million of insured, expiring for the team that gets this valuable instrument ....walking breathing, capspace with a face they can sell for the rest of the year.
.... during the roughest economic run in (as Carl Sagan would say)billions and billions of years.
And ..... in front of the greatest free agent haul in NBA history.

Franchises can be rebuilt and the rich can get richer......

Perhaps the skill is something that they see as a deficit in coaching/training and not an innate lack of BBIQ - or, as I believe another poster stated, as a cheap filler for a trade?

Blake, you've missed some other posters putting "DD" on the end of their posts to mock the original - hence the "tm" on the end of his. Not sure what all this hostility is that's going on, but it's starting to feel unpleasant here.

The guy is raw, he has no post game. His Arizona team mate Chase Budinger is way ahead of him and was drafted 36 places below him, way to go DM. Walsh does have high hopes for Hill though, someone compared him to Amare when it came to athletic ability and the potential to score.

Alan Hahn twitter: As Newsday reported on Sunday, the Knicks/McGrady pursuit is dead. HOU wants Jordan Hill plus expiring contracts. Nothing beyond 2010.

    Cross 'em off!

His name was DunkingDave or something like that, so I think it was justifiable for him to use DD :)

This place always gets testy. Especially when we lose a game. Thankfully, it is 10x better this season because the Yao Only Fans are not really here starting 132 threads after each loss talking about how the sky is falling.

The 23 expiring is only valuable if Rockets are willing to take on contracts and call it quit on rebuilding. It is not easy to sell the future for anything already failed somewhere else.

    In fact,

Rockets are also in the roughest economic.
    Rockets are rebuilding too.
Rockets do not want crap contracts either.
Rockets are not getting the world, instead they are getting the crap.

Take him at his word. Literally all the IN-SEASON big trades happen in February, or close to it. Look it up if you like.

This just lets you know the activity thats going. Pure buildup. Though its still relevant. This lets you know the contestants who are going to audition later
