It's crazy how Dirk is getting a free pass and zero criticism for absolutely giving up on the defensive end. He was never much a defender to begin with, but now he's not even pretending to try.

Surprised there's so much hate for Dirk. There were more hateable guys throughout Dirk's tenure with the Mavs.

Yup...the only NBA player the "great salesman" Mark Cuban ever sold anything to was Dirk. He's never landed a top tier FA despite years of cap space.

Why not make a play for Dirk? If anything you make Mavericks match it.

And traded a future 2x MVP in favor of holding onto Michael Finlay

Either Mavs give Dirk a 'make up contract' and he is content to play it out losing the next couple of years the way kobe did or he goes to play with an immediate contender.

Rockets should give dirk a feeler call and tell him how mavs have disrepected him. He should come to houston and back up dmo and teach him a few things

That was actually because he needed that money to sign Erik Damier lol...he had already handed Finley a huge contract by that point that he later had to amnesty.

That's been the plan for years. They were going to make it up to him after they signed some big names...except they were never able to land anyone.

It will be crazy seeing Dirk in a GSW jersey next year.

I wonder if we could actually get Dirk. I mean MDA and Nash are buddies and we know Nash and Dirk are like best friends...

I mean I'll happily take him. Veteran leadership and floor spacing? Hell yes. I don't know why anyone wouldn't want him. Is he prime Dirk? No way, but it's not like he's some scrub that is a negative on the team.

Lets give Dirk a 2 year max. I'd seriously be completely happy with that lol

Cuban will pay Dirk either his final year or when he retires he's going to get a nice "player consulting" deal that gives him $2 million a year for 20 years for doing absolutely nothing.
