No but it makes it easier for taller guys like centers and PF's to pick your pocket in traffic. He had multiple games with 5 tovs and games with 7 and 9 tovs.

Of course SF who aren't playmakers(like Barnes) will not have such a high ast to tov ratio. But you can compare SF to PG if he is the secondary playmaker and half of the offense ran through him. Why do you think the Hornets are making Batum the #1 free agent priority? He led the team in assists. If they let him go they don't make the playoffs this upcoming season. Even Parson's during his last season as a Rocket had a > 2.0 ast to tov ratio.

So it's a bit crazy that people are willing to pay Batum the max. To me he is worth maybe $18-20 mil but I wouldn't pay him $26 mil. Barnes isn't worth the max either. I'd pay him $12 maybe $16 mil.

So basically they are going to continue the Hinkie tank plan?

Reasons why Barnes is better than Covington:

    Drafted higher
    Went to North Carolina
    Former McDonald's All-American
Won a ring at Golden State

This is seriously how the brains of most casual NBA fans function.

Could be nothing, could be something...

Funny thing: An ESPN guy said since the Warriors have missed out on potential replacements for Barnes, it's likely he will return to GS as their highest paid player.

Wonder what that would do to their precious chemistry.
