Greeeat, once every NBA coach gets their hands on this article, we're gonna go 0-13 to finish out the season.
Up to Mchale to throw wrinkles in. Seems like our guys have to work hard for every bucket. Wish we could run set plays for layups once in a while
Has there ever been a strategy for containing a perimeter superstar that didn't amount to 'force him to shoot outside shots'?
I'm close to the point of boycotting ESPN. No sports website does more to disparage and pick apart our team than that website. It's not like they have a monopoly on sports journalism. SI, cbs, yahoo, fox sports, even bleacher report all do a more fair job covering the Rockets than does ESPN. You will never see a "How to Stop Stephen Curry" for example. The company line is, "when he's on, you're dead" without any commentary as to how exactly GSW wins when he is not on. Reading an ESPN Curry article runs more like a Vanity Fair article on all the different ways to give him a blowjob. "Please your Curry, in 15 EASY Steps!"
Harden also had a tough time driving into the paint. He got swatted a lot that series. That took away a big part of his game. I hope he is ready for the big step up in defensive intensity he will face in the playoffs.
I think you are being a tad too sensitive. It should be taken as a compliment they make an article like this for Harden.
I never understand why we never see Harden come off screens and shoot the ball. He's a good shooter (despite the slump he's in now) and it would get him open. That's just one of many reasons why I think McHale is completley incompetent.
