Exactly. It was the same defense that OKC used he prior year. Harden's man plays up on him to contest 3pt shots and they keep two big men in the lane to cut off drives.

A spade is a spade, just as a fool is a fool. There is no possible rebuttal for the argument that Matthews stopped Harden as it is simply and blatantly false. While a farfetched argument could be made that Matthews might have slowed down Harden at times, his assertion was that Wesley Matthews stopped Harden at the biggest stage. This is completely untrue in every possible way. Between Harden missing easy buckets that he normally makes throughout the series and Blazers playing good team D on Harden, he slowed and stopped himself for much of the series.

Great to see the Beard getting some respect. This is the kind of article they write about guys like Lebron and Durant.

Great read and a nice feature to have.

No one is stopping him one on one, but Butler does the best job. He says it perfectly: take away his space and be physical.

Bigger SG's will always be trouble for Beard. It's up to his teammate to knock down shots to relieve the pressure, and up to coach to free him up some.

some of them do like this guy. but its understandable for someone like this to be a straight homer.

The very best way to to stop Harden is to send a big booty ho to his room the night before, don't let him go right, and go at him on the other end. NBA, you're welcome.

Oh, my god. ESPN hates us so much now they're calling an emergency summit to figure out how to prevent JH from being successful. Crowdsourcing for tips on how to shut James down. Unbelievable.

He knew right away we had our franchise player. He said as much in interviews when the trade went down. I don't know if he expected MVP-caliber play from Harden but he certainly knew he was getting a star player.

You stop James Harden with two easy steps:

    1) Complain to the league and pressure the Ref's to swallow their whistles.

    2) Take MMA striking classes and use it on him.

    3) Profit.
