I tried to find an original thread but couldn't...Did anyone watch the season finale? The Office Casino Night was classic...Definitely more serious than episodes past... **SPOILERS** Michael invited his realtor on a date, then Jan came by (drove 2.5 hrs.) and in the end, when Jan left, she had an overnight bag, meaning she was considering staying the night with him... Jim asking about a transfer...I suspect this was because of Pam getting married, but then Jim telling Pam he loved her, then kissing her at the end...Interesting for next season...WOW... Dwight is Dwight... I absolutely love this show...What did ya'll think...
Definitely the best comedy on TV [IMO] -- could possibly move into Seinfeld, Cheers, etc. territory next season.
Yes, this has become my new favorite show. Dwight is freaking hilarious. I didn't think that anyone could be as funny as Steve Carroll/Michael, but Dwight has done it. I feel like a sissy for admitting this, but when Jim told Pam that he loved her and he teared up, I got a little misty eyed myself. [man card handed in]
the most intreauging cliff-hanger since who shot mr. burns. either pam dumps her fiancee, jim leaves the office, pams boyfriend beats the crap out of jim or all of the above. since arrested development is no more, the office is the only sitcom i watch. in case you didnt know, you can buy all the episodes at the itunes store. 2 bucks each. quite a bargian considering songs go for 99 cents each. you get a whole episode for the price of 2 songs. (i dont work for apple)
That was a good episode. I love how Jim and Pam mess with Dwight. NBC rules on sitcoms. ABC...fill in the blank.
Scrubs and The Office are the only ones I watch. Last nights ep was really memorable. The telkenisis skit in the beginning was priceless, as was dwights look on his face. The casting is great, ever character is hilarious in their own way. For a while a lot of people compared it to the British version, but I think its distinguished itself with its own type of humor to be considered an entity of itself. "It's crazy, whenever I cough, Dwight folds!" man, now I might actually have free time on Thursday nights to do stuff.
This show is truly awesome. The "Conflict Resolution" episode from last week might have been the funniest episode I've ever seen. And Jim and Pam storyline couldn't have been more perfect up till now. BUT where they go from here is key. Because a lot of shows have played the "will they or won't they" game, and very few of them do it successfully. Either they get them together too quick, releasing all the sexual tension, and aren't able to transition to writing storylines of them as a couple (Ross and Rachel, Moonlighting), or they stretch it out too long, do fake outs over and over again, and kill whatever tension that they might have had (Niles and Daphne, and to a lessor extent Mulder and Scully). I'm interested in where the writers will take this.
of sitcoms, i watch Office, Earl, Scrubs, How I Met Your Mother, and the New Adventures of Old Christine.
4 real...I didnt' want to admit it but man, it was truly emotional... I watch the Office, Sopranos, and 24 religiously...And of course West Wing, which the series finale is this Sunday...Aparently, the Will and Grace series finale is next Thursday...In the beginning that was a good show..
Glad to see so many people are watching this show, I loved and hated last nites episode, hated it because of the cliffhanger Such a long summer.... Earl and Office have brought me back to NBC on Thrus. just like when Seinfeld was on.
Well they're not following the UK version much at all. The premise is the same, but they're going in a lot of different directions. Not to mention that the UK series lasted 12 episodes and a Christmas reunion special to wrap things up, while the US version has more than doubled that amount of eps already. You really can't tell from the original series how the storylines will play out.
i've gotta admit, 2 or 3 episodes into the first season, all i wanted to do was bash it and say it paled in comparison to the british version, it was blasphemy, etc. my thoughts changed rather rapidly afterward though. not to nitpick, but as far as hitting me on an emotional level, the unification of tim and dawn was better than jim and pam. great show.
My Dwight Scrute Bobblehead should be arriving soon... "Oh my God..." CLASSIC... "Thanks...I've never owned a refridgerator before..." Great show...
I can't believe nobody has talked about Kevin and his band, Scrantonicity, rocking "Don't Stand So Close to Me." Roy: Hey, you guys rock. Kevin: Really? Roy: You wanna play our wedding? Kevin: Yeah.....awesome.
