Just posted a 25p/7r/6a/5b/4s statline in 32 minutes.

Also shooting 52/47/85 on the season. Pretty sure he's the best player on that Spurs roster.

On a worse team I can imagine him averaging something like 28/8/5 with a very good defense.

He actually had that stat line in 27ish minutes. He played garbage time because his backup was getting tired.

But according to Maury, Mook Morris (meLo Lite) was better since he had a higher ceiling

And the Spurs thought Mahinmi would be better than Gortat. Everyone misses.

We need an advanced stat for this.

    Value on Worst Team?

seriously though, OP the Spurs relatively new motion offense has two effects, since it spreads the offense around the court. 1) it lowers the stats of superstar players, 2) it increases stats of role players.

Since it generates wide open shots, you can't necessarily look at LMA's decreased stats and so KL's would increase proportionally if placed on Portland. On a worse team, his usage will likely go up, but the defenses will be able to focus more upon him.

Hard to say what his stats would look like.

Another way to look at it is what would Parker's stats look like in his prime if he didn't have Duncan to team with to run their devasting PnR game.

In the few games Duncan missed during Parker's prime, Parker put up some ridiculous stats.

Parker transformed his game once again. He rarely shoots mid range shots anymore.

His defense isn't just 'good,' it's elite. He also has a usage rate > 25% and an eFG >57%.

One of it is BPG, which one i don't really remember.

In this early phase of the season, Kawhi is the best Spur at the moment -especially in offense, followed by Manu & TP. His defense is still elite, but IMHO not really mind boggling like the end of last season. Quite reasonable, since he has to expend more share of his energy in offense, carrying the team along with it.

I still think he doesn't really has the physical talent (explosive first step, vertical leap, and court vision) to really be the best player of the league, but his dedication & focus to be the best is outstanding, perhaps the best among his peers at the moment. Well, if a guy like Steph Curry can be the best by his marvelous skills, i think Kawhi will try to follow that path too.

It's depressing to realize the year that everyone of Harden's contemporaries are blowing up (Curry, WB, Kawhi, even Paul George who is coming back from injury) is the year that Harden decides to play like ****. It makes him look even worse by comparison.

Anthony Davis is in the same position. He was hyped to be the best/most impactful player this season

Us passing on Leonard kills me to this day.

I remember jumping for joy when Leonard fell to us, I thought he was going top 8 for sure. He and Faried where my favorite players in the draft, athletic monsters who hustle like crazy. We picked Morris and I yelled what the **** at my TV.

Drafting Parsons made me feel better, when Parsons and Leonard where comparable players, now Leonard has blown up into a 2 way superstar and pretty boy Parsons left for Dallas to go get micro fracture surgery... feels bad man.
