It needs to be addressed. It's low value thinking. When people cannot defend themselves, it's very easy simply to toss the race card because that's all they can do. They're not capable of coming up with a counter argument, but instead choose the easy way out and try to shut down conversation by claiming that the other person is racist. People fear being labeled a racist, so they don't criticize blacks. The cycle goes on and on.

We've seen this over and over. A few examples:
    1. Don't like something Obama did? You're racist.
    2. Don't want to draft Teddy Bridgewater at 1-1? You're racist.
    3. Don't think Jameis Winston sounded intelligent in his post-game interview? You're racist.
    4. Don't like the choice for UT-Austin branch's head football coach? You're racist.
    5. And so on and so forth.

Think more critically, people. Defend yourselves with fact, logic and reason.

Why do you care if people call you racist? If you don't think it's racist, then let them say what they want.

Historically, people who have made the arguments you're making have been labelled racists. The intensely racist arguments of the past were argued to be racist, but we didn't know just how insanely racist they were until a generation or two later.

What you've posted here will be totally unacceptable in a generation or two. That's because humans are headed towards less racism, more community, more civility. At the moment, you can say what you're saying and it will annoy some and amuse some. Thankfully, most of those who are amused will have to go further into hiding in the future.

At least things are getting better and you get to say whatever you want to say, not having to care about what people think.

huh? I don't follow your post at all. You're saying it will be unacceptable to criticize Obama in a "generation or two" because that will be racist?

or are you agreeing with me?

There numerous examples here where so-called liberals have criticized Obama without being labeled a racist.

    So, no.

    You are VERY naive.

People are headed towards more community and civility??? Is the Islamic extremists, racial unrest in Europe or the drone attacks by the USA leading you to this conclusion?

Tell me...as resources become more stretched and as more second and third world nations want their version of the American dream... what do you think is going to happen? I can tell you that America, and to a lesser extent Western Europe, are not going to just agree to lower their standard of living.

Racism, classism and segregation is NOT going to go away..... it will morph, but it will always be "us" versus "them" and the "haves" and "have nots".

Some criticism is racially driven some is not. The fact that you think people are only labeling critics racist instead of think objectively like you say you are shows how tragically ignorant your are.

Talking strictly about racism, yes I believe it will dissapear and be replaced by discrimination by nationality. I don't think everything is getting better, but I do think discrimination based on skin color is a dying breed as racists are being scrutinized more and more harshly, and there is less and less to gain from being racist.

It does seem that screaming "racist" has become overly and improperly used...but maybe that's just part of the overly PC movement as well.

I definitely think the Winston situation is overblown. He sounded like an idiot.

It's not about what you say (being critical of someone), it's about how and why.

How come I'm not called racist even though I am heavily critical of Obama and do not like the left or right wing politics? rhadamantus for example, how come no one calls him racist even though he is routinely critical of Obama? Several other examples.

Come on. It's unique to you. It's not a mass branding thing. You know that the way you make your arguments, you are constantly prancing around on the red line of blatant racism without ever actually stepping over it. That's why, IMO, many people accuse you of being racist. You play your part in that.

Why you would care what people call you though, I don't understand. If you truly don't believe you're racist, then let them call you whatever. What do you care?

when you're consistently critical of anything a minority does like you do, then you build a reputation of being racially biased.

If you think Blake Bortles is better than Teddy Bridgewater, you might be a racist.

I think you are misreading the labels texx. People don't think you are a racist. They think you are a nut.

It needs to be addressed. It's low value sportsmanship. When Ladybugs cannot defend themselves, it's very easy simply to toss the nail breaker card because that's all they can do. They're not capable of coming up with a counter play, but instead choose the easy way out and try to shut down the game by claiming that the other soccer player is a nail breaker. Soccer players fear being labeled a nail breaker, so they don't play the Ladybugs. The cycle goes on and on.

We've seen this over and over. A few examples:
    1. Don't like something Obama did? You're a nail breaker.
    2. Don't want to draft Teddy Bridgewater at 1-1? You're a nail breaker.
    3. Don't think Jameis Winston sounded intelligent in his post-game interview? You're a nail breaker.
    4. Don't like the choice for UT-Austin branch's head football coach? You're a nail breaker.
    5. And so on and so forth.

Play with a sense of urgency, Ladybugs. Defend yourselves with speed, stamina, and intelligent play.
