    Just personal opinion
    No huge Deal
but Rudd seems to have permanent smirk that never quite goes away even in 'serious' scenes
Bateman does deadpan serious looking comedy better to me

Rudd didn't die on the vine
He was not as good IMO as Pratt was in Gaurdians
    but he was good

Paul Rudd was perfect for the role. Jason Bateman lacks the charisma.

Why do white actors always get compared to white actors?

    Y'all are imparting Sam Dekker.

Caught this tonight with my son- much better than I thought it would be. Marvel consistently outdoes itself and continues to set the bar higher (with the exception of Avengers 2, which while it was good, felt rushed/too short).

They sewed that up when Ant-Man couldn't remember what happened. I think he may remember in time for an iconic scene in Civil War.

Without a doubt she's in more Marvel movies.....but please lose that terrible bob...

That was about my least favorite Super hero movie ever and I like Paul Rudd and have crush on Evangeline Lily. I was snoozing the first hour.

Saw it, loved it. A nice blend of comedy and action.

Also, I came in late and missed the first 5-10 mins of the movie. The first scene I saw was Scott Lang fighting a big black dude in prison. Can anybreh tell me what I missed? Seems like a lot.

u didn't miss anything. Just the main character, as part of a ceremony for being released from prison, getting punched in the face by one of his prison mates. Wasn't meaningful to the story line at all.

I think the movie worked because it didn't take itself seriously. There were some action scenes that could've fell apart and look extremely silly and stupid, something other studios haven't accomplished with their failed comic book movies (Green Lantern, Fantastic 4, etc...)

But they're going to have to power the character up in crossover movies.

There was a scene where there was a profile shot of Rudd look all serious in thought and he looked like Ben Affleck with the same stubble and hairstyle.

    No joke...

What happened before? I think I walked in and it said something like "present day" or something. What happened in the past?

    What happened in the microverse.

Had a small point- it established that Luis could throw a mean knockout punch (He said that he was the only person to ever knock out the black guy who hit Scott Lang).

There was a flashback in the 80s of a meeting between Tony Stark's dad, Agent Carter, Hank Pym, and another guy trying to acquire the Ant Man tech.
(the one you find out that works for Hydra)

Pym was pissed off because he found out Shield was trying to replicate his tech. Thus his disdain for Stark, Shield, and the Avengers.

I liked. Was a fun caper movie mixed up with a super hero movie. Good use of the 3-D including the closing credits. All actors were believable and likeable including the Ant Man heist team which was really funny and stole the show. Even step dad redeemed in the end. The Ants were the one part that could have gone wrong, but generally worked. Think Rudd pulled it off as movie hero carried me along well enough. Nothing ground breaking or wow factor, but lighthearted fun.

Seeing the Star Wars preview in 3-D was much better than u-tube.

Paul Rudd reminds me a little bit of David Alan Grier.

When he was younger would have been great for this role.

There was no way I was going to watch this. A superhero thats the size of an ant? No way. My kids insisted so we watched it. Pretty damn funny. Finally a hero us thug ass people can relate to.

Meh. This movie didn't resonate with me at all. It was full of plot holes and illogical missteps, plus too much forced humor. It's probably my least favorite MCU movie.
