Its going to have to come from the Texans players/coaches.

Till then, the fans will continue to gripe about an overrated issue.

Obviously, they didnt switch it out between games. That won't happen in the regular season.

It would take JJ Watt shredding his knee to get the team to change it I fear.

Looks like this season the 50's and the NFL logo in the end zones are painted gold, guessing for the 50th SB this year..?

Still more likely, statistically to happen on the field-turf in the bubble (or in the stadiums).

LOL, he didn't shred his ACL. He had microfracture. Had bad knee and other issues for a while.

Exactly... this urban legend (started by a certified lunatic that has since been cut... Swearing) needs to be put to bed.

We have a punter possibly stepping into a seam on a kickoff... and we have Wes Welker (who has since played on this same field without issue or "fear of lawsuit").

There were definite significant statistical increases in injuries on astroturf... would likely take similar data here.

They'll make a change because its likely cheaper/easier and looks better (and presuming the players/coaches want the change)... but unproven about it being "safer".

Oh cool, so they took someone who had "bad knee and other issues for a while" and needed microfracture number one overall. Brilliant! Great job Texans! On the right track!

PS: Still a **** ass field.

Still has the highest ceiling of anyone in that draft class.

Had maybe. Mack is going to be great. Having high ceiling doesn't mean anything if he's not on the field developing technique. Now more than ever he'll need to rely less on explosiveness.

The fact that everyone knew that the Texans wanted to trade the first overall pick and no one bit in it says how bad that draft was. Bad time for Texans to have the worst record. Sometimes it's better to be lucky than good.

I get what you are saying and I think Mack will be pretty good too, but if Clowney was healthy all year and only had 4 sacks....what would people be saying about him? Let's also not forget that Mack is 2 years older than Clowney is.

IMO he had the highest ceiling when drafted, and he still does.

The grass situation kind of parallels our quarterback situation.

Granted, its easy to fix the grass situation.

Dallas tried to take out Messi last week. You'all need to get this figured out. It doesn't seem that complicated in this day and age.
