You can pick the most random topic and still find at least 2 or 3 here who know everything there is to know about it. It's really uncanny.
How about one red and one blue? In either case, since it's likely going to be a modular field, there will be nothing painted on (except when they have the breast cancer logo or other logos for temporary uses). They'll have separate panels for the end zones with the letters/logo already cut in.
Thanks. Arlington is dumb and the Jerry World Super Bowl was a disaster. This further cements it. Also, this thread now takes the lead for most use of the word "tufted".
Subsequent remedial measures are usually not admissible in evidence in a personal injury case. The courts don't want defendants delaying making a product safer out of fear it will make them lose their lawsuit.
I hear it's a hybrid field.... a cross of Bluegrass, Kentucky Bluegrass, Featherbed Bent, and Northern California Sensemilia.
That's my understanding too. The amazing stuff about this is that you can play 4 quarters of football on it in the afternoon, take it home and just get stoned to the bejeezus-belt that night on this stuff.
I hope the Texans use the company that did the Ravens field. It looks the best on TV and I have heard rave reviews about it. Same thing with the Cowboys field.
The Ravens field is Shaw/Sportexe. They make a good product and I wouldn't complain. The company that made the Arlington fields is run by the devil and will hopefully be out of business by the time there's even a bid for the turf. It's also not a very good system. They have problems with the velcro seams and I also disagree that it looks good on tv...but I probably see more of the defects than the average person.
I just don't want the field the Saints and Seahawks use. Those are terrible. My favorite is the Ravens. If there is an organization that I would love the Texans to emutate from top to bottom, it is the Ravens.
The Ravens have been a model franchise and have won Super Bowls without a true franchise QB. They always draft well and have been a playoff contender for many years
Actually, the Saints field is by the company that made the Texans practice field (UBU Sports). It's a bad combination of trying to put in a durable field that doesn't look good on tv. There are certain combinations and shapes of yarns they can use to achieve that. They used a wide flat shaped yarn that reflects every bit of light that touches it...which is what gives it that shiny or wet look. It's a more durable yarn...but looks terrible on tv.

Hahaha...yes! Love that grass field. So, opposing coaches hate it and opposing players think it's dangerous. That's what makes it a home field advantage.
