Interesting that Brees and Farve were both selected in the 2nd round which is where you claim to have Manziel rated.

Since you have said previously that Manziel is a 2nd round pick. I wonder what you expect from a 2nd round pick. Not that I think he will be there, but would you take Manziel at 33?

Since we have a #2 thread, we should probably lock this one.

Id take him at 33, Would like for him to sit for a year, learn the system and develop the understanding of the pro game from an easier setting.

I don't recall Hurricane Isaac having any significant impact on Houston. According to impact zone maps the storm didn't affect Texas at all.

Either way it could be accurate. I'd think the impact of a Manziel signing by the Texans would either be catastrophic, or completely insignificant.

I should have said hurricane Alicia. Still, Isaac did enough to keep me in the dark for a week.

I think both Clowney and Manziel will be stars....but when I think about who impacts the game the most, it's Manziel, no question. The Texans already had the best DE in football last year and we won 2 games.....give us the best QB in football and we are in the playoffs easily.

If the Texans think they're both going to be stars, then they have to go with Manziel. a good QB equals more wins than a good DE. it's simple.

Kiper posted his 4.0, Clowney was our 1:1, insiders who does he have us taking at 2:1?

I'm sure I agree with that. If you put Manning behind our O-line and lack of running game I seriously doubt we make the playoffs last year. Granted, your point about a star QB generating more wins than a star DE is probably true, but I don't feel comfortable with ANY of the top three QB prospects being a "star". Clowney isn't a sure thing but I believe he's closer than the QBs.

REMEMBER: Mock ≠ my prospect rankings. I say that because Teddy Bridgewater is my top rated QB in this draft.

Yup the media still has Teddy ranked highly, but they are learning that none of the teams do and are acting accordingly.

Yup. He also pretty much said that he expects a team to trade into the first round to get him rather than him drop to the second.

He also pretty much said that Gabbert was the best quarterback when he came out and Cam would most likely be a bust. Mel is for entertainment purposes only.
