Sepp Blatter is not being arrested (he'll probably snitch), but plenty of higher-ups are going to face charges.

10 officials are expected to be indicted, among them:

Jack Warner, former president of CONCACAF, longtime head of Trinidad and Tobago FA, and former Vice President of FIFA
Jeffrey Webb, current president of CONCACAF and the Cayman Islands Football Association
Eugenio Figueredo, former president of CONMEBOL and the Uruguayan Football Federation, outgoing Vice President of FIFA

All three were also members of FIFA's executive committee

Why are US authorities involved in the charges or warrant for arrest? I thought FIFA was based out of Switzerland.

These kind of things show that axing Blatter won't change anything, 90% of FIFA executives are corrupt and need to be sacked. FIFA is rotten from within, Blatter is only the head.

This is a great day. FIFA picked the wrong country to mess with when it "awarded" 2022 to Qatar (and 2018 to Russia on the same day). Remember the story about Bill Clinton being part of the US bid and smashing mirrors in his dressing room after watching Qatar's shenanigans work? You don't mess with the big dog, Sepp.

In before Swoly swoops in with some asinine "You'll still watch, so why do this?!" argument.

Well done USA. Also, Blatter needs to go. He is the head of the whole corrupt system.

It seems like the DOJ is using the RICO strategy: pick up enough guys close to the top and hope to convince one of them to rat out the leader in exchange for leniency.

Blatter seems too smart to actually get his hands dirty or be directly tied to anything. The worst that will happen to him is he won't be re-elected.

CAF already said they'll give all their votes to Blatter, and they have more than 50. Blatter has everything outside of Europe and North America in his pockets. Only way he will ever leave is via criminal charges or health issues.

Exactly. For all of his slimy corruption, Blatter set the rules to this game and he's playing it perfectly. He no longer needs Europe or the US. So long as he has the support of regions with little to no accountability, he can keep getting elected and running this cartel.

Everyone knows FIFA is corrupt and they take money and blah blah blah, there's really one two questions for me, does Blatter continue to hold his position and did FIFA participate in any match fixing activities, that's something that has not been rumored much but would be huge in my mind. If you take money to put the tournament in Qatar instead of the US, okay, I get it, you are corrupt, but if you are influencing individual matches to promote certain winners, then I have a significant problem with the product that's being put out.

GOOD. Good. Get them. Arrest all involved.

LOLs @ people wanting Blatter and the entire FIFA organization out.

That's NOT going to happen. If y'all still watch the 2018 and 2022 World Cups, y'all will still be supporting it.

Of course, since I'm not of the same opinion as y'all, you won't like this post, like always...

If only UEFA, CONCACAF and CONMEBOL would boycott the Qatar WC and stage their own  I would so love that.

    ^ NOT going to happen.

OK. Read this -> You're still gonna buy the game, you're still gonna watch, regardless of what the FBI and FIFA do:
