Sorry to interrupt the war talk with such a trivial matter, but damnit, this stuff is better than any of that mass produced ketchup that other fast food companies buy. It's a little bit sweeter and more stongly flavored than Heinz or Huntz... Seriously, they need to bottle this stuff...
I agree - Whataburger ketchup is outstanding. Chic-fil-a bbq sauce? You must be kidding. Any bbq joint in Houston has better fare than that crap.
wow... i always thought Whataburger's ketchup sucked. While I dig Whataburger, their ketchup has never appealled to me. Good thread. Nice to have a break from ProBush/AntiBush/ProWar/AntiWar stuff...
Their ketchup is great, and the little containers it comes in is ingenious. Whoever thought that up should get a medal for an outstanding contribution to mankind or something.
Well, besides the container being more expensive to produce than the packets, the container also holds a little more ketchup. It may not sound like much, but when you're talking about millions of gallons of ketchup being used per day, it adds up. Since Whataburgers are only located in seven states and two cities in Mexico, they can afford to produce the containers.
Whataburger ingredients: Ketchup - Tomato concentrate, Corn syrup, Sugar, Distilled vinegar, Salt, Onion powder, Garlic powder and Natural flavors. Home recipe for ketchup: 2 cups canned or fresh tomatoes 4 ounces tomato paste 1/4 cup chopped onion 1/8 cup brown sugar 1/2 teaspoon celery seed 4 tablespoons apple cider vinegar 4 cloves minced garlic(or to taste) -- you can omit this or add a different spice, if desired sea salt to taste
Best Ketchup Ever....... My wife freaks when I eat it by itself. Umm I could eat some right now. Now if they could just make their fries better.
I dont like any fast food ketchup, whataburger included! Oh except chik-fil-a, I love those damn samiches and their ketchup and waffle fries!
