So Ty would have to sign with a playoff bound team by the end of the day today, in order to be eligible?
yes if he wanted to join a playoff team. If he wanted just to sign with a non playoff team then he can both be waived and sign elsewhere after march 1. And if he was smart he would join a non playoff team like the Nets or Knicks.
No, he just has to be waived today to be playoff-eligible. He can sign with his new team any time before the end of the season.
Utah will pick him up and beat out Rockets for the last playoff spot with Ty playing like an all-star. :grin:
Waiving Ty will have about the same effect as tossing a used kleenex in the trash. Hell Prigioni gave us more.
A really sad story. It's hard to understand why he couldn't perform to the level of even an ordinary player. Perhaps, he could have been utilized better than what the Rockets coaching staff was capable of doing. I feel he has some game left in him. I wish him good luck.
Would be very disappointing. We need Ty Lawson here so he can make Steph Curry work on the other end of the court! Remember?
