The Rockets need to trade for a defensive minded center that call roll to the basket on penetration .... they don't need a mental midget.

Nick young is it seems a big part of recent Lakers revival. I heard Lakers announcers praising him for playing like a different man under coach Walton.

An improved Nick Young is still a pretty worthless player. Minimum signing.

And we don't have coach Walton, it might be that he can only do better in that particular system.

Frankly, if not for social media, no one would even know who he is. He is such an incredibly terrible decision maker, he's not young, his contract pays him more than he's worth, there is just no point. If he was worth anything they would not be trying to dump him, they too need more talent, and they actually have a longer road to contention so they can afford to be more patient about his contract. We have to be contenders next season and we currently have 9m in space projected. If we add him without adding anything else (which we can't do anymore anyway), we are idiots.

He's not a better player than Pat Beverley or Eric Gordon, and not a better asset than KJ McDaniels or Trevor Ariza or Sam Dekker. It makes zero sense.

When you can get players like Parsons, Dekker, etc in the second round, why make the trade? And Gordon is better. Harden probably didn't want him here either.

The best moves can be the moves you don't make. We need Rebounding and Point Play, no swag. Morey's being patient and I'm good with that.

Dekker was our 1st round pick.
    Don't confuse him with Parsons.

Cyberx has lost all his credibility when he said Dwight was going to the Warriors.

He's not great - but McLemore is about to clock his second DNP in a row. Can create his own shot and has athleticism for days. He'd be awesome for us off the bench.

He, KJ and Harrell would be a handful on the floor together (with the bearded one).

We could get him for a bag of chips, we should make this trade.

Nick Young is having a great year now that he has a real coach.

I'm sure Nick would average 20 points with Harden and Mike D.

Young would be perfect playing with Harden because he can hit the 3's and he's playing incredible defense this year.

I thought this guy's career was over, but Walton has made this guy into an All NBA defended. Shows you what a real coach can do to a player

Morey passed on Swaggy because he's the Deputy Mayor of Hollywood. The celeb life runs too deep.

Nick is the best Lakers right now. I 'm shocked at how good this guy has been this year, not just offense, but he's a beast defensive.

It's incredible how he turned his career around from being untradeable to a hot commodity. Last year, I bet the Lakers couldn't give him away even if they offered draft picks to dump him

You obviously haven't watched him this year. I'm shocked too. I thought he was Harden level defender...but not this year

    "

A few months ago, Nick Young’s future with the Los Angeles Lakers seemed bleak. The consensus was Young would be waived or traded before the start of the 2016-17 NBA season, but now he’s become a significant role player on this team once again.

One of the main reasons for Young’s resurgence in Los Angeles is his effort on the defensive end of the floor. Young is quickly becoming one of the team’s better defenders after being challenged by new head coach Luke Walton to step up his game on that end of the floor.

Apparently, with Young stepping up defensively and making a lot of headlines as of a result, his teammates have been referring to him as Bruce Bowen as well as many other great defenders of past and present, according to Joey Ramirez of Lakers.com:

Even Nick Young — who has long held a reputation as a subpar defender — has joined in on this new focus, as Nance said that his teammates keep calling him Bruce Bowen in practice, as well as jokingly comparing him to Gary Payton, Kawhi Leonard, Dennis Rodman and Tony Allen.

Young’s impact is being felt all over the basketball floor right now. The 31-year-old played with a lot of confidence during the preseason with the veteran showing his ability to defend as well as prove he can still be a force offensively."

It was the Iggy Assalea curse just like James Harden had the Khloe Kardassian curse.

These NBA players need to stay away from big name divas.

I've been stressing this for a while now. Pick up McLemore before SA does and turns him into a star.

Maybe you missed the Kings/Spurs game?

Kawhi Leonard ripped the ball away from Ben McLemore and drove the other way for a three-point play. Then the next time down the court, Leonard grabbed it away from McLemore and scored on the other end.

Both guys are the same age.

My guess is this was during the off-season. Young's putting up good numbers and his contract is good even if he picks up his option. However, it took a contract year for him to do this and we all saw what Lawson did in a similar situation.

I don't blame Morey for passing.
