You're either joking or have no idea about Gordon Hayward. He's terrific, I certainly hope he's the plan A instead of plan D because once plans A through C turn us down, he'll be signed.
We aren't at title contender. We don't have any truly valuable assets that we could lose that are worth something that would make up for losing them plus make us a title contender. Example, adding a superstar would be huge, but we don't have the pieces to get a superstar. Getting a mid level player would be helpful, but not if it costs you a starter already. We are in a tough spot right now.
Are we going to ignore Maury's (DD) love for caucasian small forwards Chase Budinger Chandler Parsons Samuel Dekker Chris Jent Dan Langhi I can see why the Rockets are interested in Hayward.
Not necessarily imo, Hayward can guard three positions pretty easily. same thing you can say about Bazemore which we tried to sign so...well, maybe with Bazemore we would've traded or moved to the bench Trevor, i don't know, but we could've also played Harden, Bazemore and Trevor together.
meh, i think we're sufficient with ryno, eric, and trev; hopefully even bev can be a part of that mini core.. we need a defensive big, that can contribute when needed.. as much as it sucks to say it, i think bogut could've anchored this team as a top 10 defense..
Probably, but still, Hayward would instantly be our second best player, in fact, as today, i'd say probably on both ends since i don't see better defenders than him aside from Trevor (maybe). Hayward is still a bit underrated imo, the guy can literally do everything on the court, can defend multiple positions, can create his own shot, can shoot from outside, can get to line, can pass, good athlete, smart player...he somehow reminds me Horford, they're not stars in this league, but they're both all around players that would basically fit perfectly in every system.
He is a max player, mediocre 3 point shooter, weak defender for a small forward, and has stat inflation due to having an offense built around him. He isn't even the prize of his team. Rodney Hood is the best player on the Jazz (for the Rockets). Edit: I would rather get Rudy Gay than have a maxed Gordon Hayward.
For **** sake its Dekkers first season on the floor, let the kid develop and lets see what the **** we have here
We can see what we have in Dekker while at the same time sign Gordon. I don't think the salary cap includes a handsome white man quota...
