    ESPN:
    June 29, 2003
Forward Robert Horry told ESPN that he expects to become a free agent when Tuesday's June 1 deadline arrives.

Horry said the Lakers, the team he's played for the past 6-1/2 seasons, will opt not to pick up his contract on Monday. The earliest Horry can sign with another team is July 16.

In 11 NBA seasons, the 6-10 Horry has averaged 9.1 points and 6.2 rebounds. But he's hit some big shots during the playoffs, and has played on five NBA title winners.
    -----------------------

I love Robert Horry and I think Posey/Horry is a great combo at the 3 spot.

Horry can no longer play the 3 and we have no need for a sweet shooting power forward. We allready have EG and Mo.

i'd love to have horry back because he's a veteran who has won 5 nba championships and was part of clutch city but only if he was signed very cheap and if he somehow learned to play SF again.

I'd take him if he would accept the million(1.5?) veteran salary...

    otherwise, no thanks

I don't think his kind of veteran leadership would bode well for Eddie Griffin.

Horry isn't a good player anymore. I'd take him if we just had to fill out a roster spot but otherwise not a chance.

Only if he'll sign for the minimum and be willing to accept a severely reduced role ie 12th man.

It's always nice to have a lil depth in case of injury.

Simply, no. Small forward is already our most crowded position, and he doesn't offer anything that we don't already have.

I'd do it if he comes for the vet minimum. It would be worth it even if the only thing he does is teach our guards how to deliver a entry pass into the post.

For 1.5 mil he could occupy the spot on the bench that Collier is about to vacate as of Tuesday.

No thanks, hes the last thing that the Rockets need, this team is a bubble playoff team they dont need guys who just flat out dont play during the regular season.

Horry is washed up. I don't think he would be a good fit for this team.

He should be on a contender for his last days. LA or SA would be the best fits.

If "the fresh prince" would sign for 1-2 mill. for one year I wouldn't mind. Its better than Jason. Will Smith could bring some vet stabilty off the bench even if he barely plays. He could teach our role players to be role players.

Plus I would love for him to actually play so I can listen to Murph bull$hit like he likes him.
