This would actually be a good move. I understand OKC would be a black hole but that's better than seeing your only star become a workhorse.
David Aldridge Told emphatically by league source there's no chance Russell Westbrook will do a renegotiation/extension of his contract (one yr remaining). Jul 4, 2016, 5:22 PM
Westbrook going to want to be wined and dined too come FA, will make it tough to deal him at all if not near impossible. I'm just reminded of playing NBA 2k MyPlayer and never wanting to be traded before UFA year, why? You get to choose the team you want to play for, what's not to love about that?
Does this significantly drop his value? But we still have the suns of the world who will be willing to give everything up for 1 year of westbrook
what happened to all of those years of Murray compiling his ass•ets and flex•ability? Now he's got none when an ass•et hits the market? Lol! All hail the wizard!
PG D'Angelo Russell; G/F Lou Williams; and LA 1st to OKC for Westbrook G/F Nick Young to Philly for 2nd; 2nd --> OKC
I honestly think Lakers will offer their backcourt for him but Okc would want Ingram. Boston would trade IT, Brown and Olynk for him. That would work for Boston. Our best package is Bev Ariza Brewer Capela and a 1st. That'll give them a temporary PG, their SF and a backup center for Adams. I'd go all in for Westbrook. He and Harden would work like Okc did but we need more shooters. Doubt Gordon could get PT behind Westbrook and harden unless they mix up their combo and have Harden play with Gordon and Westbrook play with Harden
