I'd be curious to see that as well. If you got a hand on it, is it a drop?

Not sure if you watch football or not, Especially the Texans over the last decade.

This group is by far and away the best corp of WRs the Texans have ever had.

Hopkins is clearly a top 10 WR, Shorts is your ideal #2 WR in any system, Washington although old, is still a capable Slot. Strong is your 3rd Out side WR, that will develop into your #2 in a year or so. Mumphery will replace Washington in the slot, probably sometime this year.

Then you've got EZ who's good outside, just doesn't catch the pass at its highest peak, which results in his issues of dropped passes. Worthy is shifty and had a good play late with Savage, but he's more or less a returner. Then there's Damaris who's fast, but can't shake defenders and is also a return guy, and then you're down to Keshawn Martin.

You're at 5 guys at the top of the list that are contributors day 1 of the season, and are probably the best 5 deep WR corp in the league. Might not be a top duo at WR, but every single one of them will contribute. I don't think there's another team that can get that deep at WR. Then you've got 4 guys that can still contribute but are on the outside looking in. All with a better skill set that Martin. He's obviously the one furthest out.

A few days ago this poster was saying Strong might be cut ,so yea guessing he just started watching football like yesterday .

I agree this is a solid group of receivers ..probably the least concerning position on the team

Lance Z mentioned Nix and Bouye as surprises that could be cut

    Not surprised by Nix

I'd be really surprised if Bouye was cut, but they have a ton of CB depth

Covington has outplayed him. Nix has had trouble holding his position, let alone getting penetration. He gets pushed back and to the ground a lot for a guy that is supposed to be a load on the defensive line.

DL: Watt, Crick, Wilfork, Pagan, Covington

That's 5. There's only one spot left and that's only if they want to carry 6. If they need to buy a roster spot for someone else (say a return specialist) then Nix is out. I say ultimately they keep 6 and then it just becomes a matter of whether or not they want to keep Nix or if they want to keep Tevita Finau. A lot of guys in the press have said the Texans really wanted to keep Finau on the roster, with some putting him over Pagan.

It's another numbers game. They can't keep all of them.

    JJo
    Kareem
    Johnson
    Morris

There's 4. They kept 6 last year. My belief is that they will keep Charles James as the last corner this year because he is a special teams stud and a potential utility knife player. So that leaves one last spot to be won by either Bouye or Rolle (or I guess Morris if you don't think he's a lock)

Rolle played well last year, but I think the staff really likes Bouye, so I expect him to make it and Rolle to either be the odd man out or them to go short on safeties this year to keep the extra CB. Would be helpful if one of these CBs could spot play safety.

Former Texans getting cut by other teams yesterday

    Bengals - Sam Montgomery
    Jets - DeVier Posey
    Jags - Mister Alexander

We made a trade with Denver for an offensive tackle Chris Clark

Wouldn't be surprised to see one of Bouye/Morris get traded, they belong on NFL rosters and usually decent CBs are in high demand.

I think you sorta need Nix to back up Wilfork, he won't play 16 games.

We need to keep the real DB's too, someone will go down. I'd like it to be the guys we've already seen come in and do the job: Bouye, Morris and Hal.

Covington seems more of a Wade Phillips type NT than a fat guy anchor. It seems like a little different scheme.

I've noticed real news media outlets doing this as well. They will take random tweets from people on twitter and pass it off as a source then I'm left scratching my head wondering who the hell that person was.
