Neither Lin nor Dragic are 2nd options, but Dragic is a far superior player to Lin.

However, the player option is still a deal breaker.

Dragic  please they are the same tier. I have watched Dragic this season he is the best player on the worst team in the west with limited potential. Not a game changer and not a floor general as the players dont seem to be on the same page with him. But I agree neither are real second options on a contender, maybe that will change. But lets agree to disagree Go Rockets.

Dragic is the best player on a horrible team. Michael Beasley kills every team he goes to and they really have no talent other than Gortat and Dudley. I'm not saying Gragic is a 2 on a top team, but with him I can see a first round upset to where with Lin I can't (still hoping we can).

We play Phoenix 4 times this year so that should shed some light on things. Not by which team wins but how they fare against each other. I like my odds as I am sure you do as well. :)

Yea, we get to see which borderline starter has the better game...lol...

At this moment Goran would be better for the team. May have a couple of more wins if we had him instead of Lin but I think that's because of experience and not talent.

Lin is not going anywhere. Too much upside and too valuable financially and to team chemistry.

Morey has said he values penetrating scoring PGs. Lin's ability to accelerate is off the charts. Pluse he has size and can defend.

And the Rockets apparently will play pre-season games in China/Taipei/Philippines next year. Can't trade Lin now! :)

Exactly. And plus the arena looks like Alief... All those sponsors would be pis'd if the Rockets traded Lin.

Lin's value to Alexander goes beyond the court.

He would be a good fit off the bench IMO. Would like to have him if the price is not too high. Jones + Douglas + 2nd rounder

The best value Lin provided is to make "true rocket fans" itching, hahaha

Of course he is. Anyone who isn't a silly Lin homer knows this.

He is better in just about all aspects of the game.

    Lets trade with the raptors:

Toronto wants to trade Bargnani so they have to put simething extra there:

    Terrence Ross

    To Houston

    Bargnani
    Ross

    To Toronto

    Pat pat
    Fillers (Aldridge)
    Cap space

Maybe Bargnani start playing better and Ross can be the real deal, a great six men and a great trade asset

The latest in a never ending series of completely absurd trade suggestions.

Andrea Bargnani is a) a completely terrible basketball player and b) extremely expensive. There is a 0% chance that Houston will bail Toronto out on this terrible contract. Even if Toronto were to toss in Terrence Ross, there'd still be a 0% chance that Houston will take Bargnani off of Toronto's hands. 0%!

That's nowhere near enough to get Ross, let alone both of them... I really like Ross though. Can shoot the three and can play above the rim and he's long and athletic. But I doubt if Toronto wants to part with him.
