Al-Farouq Aminu has had a bad start with Orlando, and he's pretty redundant with Isaac balling out. Hopefully, Al can keep his stock low and perhaps we could land a buyers remorse deal.. he'd be an excellent piece for our team with his size, rebounding and defensive abilities. Nene, Anderson, Green, Clark (or Hartenstein) + 3 future 2nds and all the cash we can trade for Aminu
Buddy Hield was red hot in the 3rd he did a heat check and Luke Walton pulled him out and went off at him then benched Hield the entire 4th quarter anyway we can trade for him? Gordon & ???
Aminu is definitely a name worth considering, are those salaris enough to trade for him though? I really lost the count of how much they amount together because of the various unguranteed part.
We'd have to fully guarantee Ryno before the deal but yes all of them combined would work financially. We'd just have to go out and sign 2 more min players afterwards to meet our roster player min. This would def put us in lux tax though, and that would become the biggest hinder to a deal like this on our end, and unwillingness by Tilman to pay the tax.
The Kings aren’t trading Buddy Hield. They would let security escort Luke Walton out of the building before they ever would consider trading him.
A glue forward much like Shane Battier is the answer. Pair him with House. Tucker needs to come off the bench to back up both forward spots logging near starter’s minutes. It’s not the player but the role that would make the difference. Amile Jefferson would work in this role and is more than obtainable for next to nothing. His play would make the TEAM better. starter: Westbrook, Harden, House, Jefferson, Capela Rotation: Rivers, Gordon, Tucker, Chandler
http://www.espn.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=y4l4lx9q I like this trade for the fact we get out of Capela contract, and take on Favors who could probably be had for a follow up contract on the dime, or he might bolt but either way we get a better replacement for mclemore in Moore. Plus pelicans give there 1st round pick, and future 2nd round pick in 2020 draft. I gonna say i like it!!!! Maybe pelicans get #13 pick this year. Lets draft Isiah Stewart, the next Antonio Davis.!! Weak draft imo but Stewart would be idea big body who can contribute down low next year.Capela is too thin we need big bodys like Favors and Stewart...
I think the Prlicans would be willing to give up one of the Lakers picks they have not their own. Otherwise a decent proposal.
Love Aminu but he is the perfect backup 4/wing for ORL. Still believe that AG is the likely trade opportunity especially with Isaac being talked up for DPOY and Chuma Okeke as stash draft for 2021. AG is too expensive and playing out of position when Isaac moves to natural 4 spot. Still believe 3 team trade with BOS and ORL makes too much sense. No FRP should be required because trade provides value to each team. BOS: Capela (Ainge has coveted Clint to be their defensive starting 5), McLemore, Clark, DJ Augustin (vet defensive PG, gives Ainge flexibility to trade Smart) ORL: Gordon Hayward (broken hand but with surgery can play by AS break, provides the alpha scoring that ORL desperate for - currently allowing 99 points (tops 2 defense) but only averaging 98 (bottom of league). Hayward gives ORL a legit all star player to complement Vuc and next franchise player in Isaac.), Carsten Edwards (another scorer) HOU: Aaron Gordon (perfect 4 for Rockets, hard nosed perimeter defender, explosive athlete who excels in transition, facilitator and improved 3 point shooter), Lob Williams (Capela like potential), Wes Iwundu (another long perimeter defender who can also create), Javonte Green (shorter wing but extremely physical and ultra explosive, will immediately become fan favorite running mate for Westbrook in transition while upgrading defense) Westbrook/Rivers/Clemons Harden/EGordon Tucker/Iwundu/JGreen AGordon/House/Lance Thomas (sign already!!!) RWilliams/Tyson/Hartenstein Jettison (hopefully in trade): Ryno, Nene, Thabo If Rockets can swing smaller trade for Nerlens Noel, even better. 2 SRP and Hartenstein may be enough.
This suggestion pains me to say, but I think a great trade would be Chris Clemons for the Knicks 2nd round pick via the Hornets. Pick will probably end up being between 38-46. NY really needs a point guard, and Clemons won't get much time with us knowing that none of Harden, Gordon, Westbrook will get traded this season. It's also very unlikely Rivers would get traded after taking that discount. I would love if it was possible to have an incentive based trade, like if Clemons hits a performance incentive(ex. 15PPG), the Rockets get another 2nd rounder. Not sure if that's against the rules, most likely it is, but would be fun to still root for him. I would still do the deal straight up without the incentive stipulation. Rockets can use that pick in Feb. to sweeten a deal. Let's face it, if Clemons is playing heavy minutes for us, we're not contenders because it means one of our 3 best scorers are out. The Knicks are a mess at PG and what Clemons has shown in college and preseason warrants the risk of losing a pick that could be as high as 45.
I think PJ might be the closest thing to Battier the NBA has seen in years. An unathletic, defensive minded forward that only shoots corner 3's. A player's whose value can't be calculated from the box score, but after watching the game you see toughness and high IQ to make winning plays.
What about Alex Len? FiveThirtyEights raptor projections has him as the 2nd most valuable defensive player in the league behind AD, but his offense is so terrible that he grades out overall at barely above replacement. Being on a team where his offensive shortcomings are completely offset by Harden / WBs ability to get him easy points at the rim should mean he would be more valuable to the Rockets than any other team. His contract is palatable at $4M a year. Thoughts?
The Knicks have already too many PGs though, Smith jr, Payton, Trier, Ntilikina...Fizdale he could also play Barrett at the spot a bit...that's not happening.
That's kinda crazy cause i always had Len as a super soft defender and a foul machine but with a decent offensive talent lol.
The reason they have 4 is because non of them are getting the job done. Knicks fans a fed up with DSJ and wanted Ntilkina to get his minutes. Fiz gave in and now Ntilkina isn't playing much better, if not worse. RJ Barrett could be the answer, but he hasn't been. He's been inconsistent and Fiz hasn't explored him at PG yet. I think Clemons would be their best PG almost instantly. I really think he has late-first rounder trade value, unfortunately, there is no way to prove it without giving him significant minutes.
Tucker off the bench would take us to the next level as he backs up the whole front court. Jefferson doesn’t shoot 3’s but his defense, rebounding and post game is better than anything on the current team. He is always in the right place on both ends of the court. He is the blue collar, dirty work we are missing.
