Yesterday, I was planning to make a thread on "none All-Star" participants. Players who cant dunk in the dunk contest, etc.

Bev was going to be someone I put in the Skills Challenge.

    The irony.

Wow..looking like Bev has quickly turned into a big joke for most on the board. I respect Bev and what he has done to work his way into the league and you can't question his heart. He doesn't have that many skills and depends on heart and hustle but I'm happy for him and wish him well in the contest.

Will Bev fadeaway on the midrange jumper?
Will Bev do a spin move and brick the layup at the end?

Can you plan to make a thread on teams that won't win the championship - specifically the Houston Rockets?

Damn, you guys turned on him fast. It's not like he is Rafer Alston.

I'll bet Bev is a lot more skilled than we think. He is a professional basketball player.

Maybe in preparing for the skills challenge, he'll improve some skills. This could be a good thing for the Rockets.

Haven't you heard? Bev is literally the worst starting PG in the league

Fitting for a team which probably has the worst fans in the league.

    Honestly he's pretty bottom tier.
    He's a 3 and D guy who's three isn't falling and his D is becoming lackluster.

Rafer is more skilled than Patrick Beverley if we're talking about ballhandling, passing, shooting, basically any basketball skill. Beverley has him beat in effort, defense, and athleticism.
I will admit Bev does have a nice floater, and his midrange game at times is effective.

The amount of negativity towards our own is crazy.
If you all are that way in person, you'll never be happy. Why not praise the guy for being chosen and show some support, being positive is healthy.

We are all surprised, but hopefully this can give him some confidence by being surrounded by Elite Talent. Pick their brain Pat Bev, you need to start playing better. I think that he should be resting while on All-Start Break. #Pursuit

You people are r****ded... Patrick Beverley is a professional basketball player...
Do you guys seriously think he can't dribble a ****ing ball around some cones, pass a ball, and make a jumpshot?

Anyone can do this challenge. Unless you are missing an arm or are blind.
The problem is can he hit the hole on the passing portions in one go or will it take multiple tries? Will he brick the mid ranger jumper?

    Hard to say! ;-)-

Seriously, I'll be cheering him on, and perhaps he'll surprise a lot of people (not the least me). The guy busts his arse and never takes a play off, regardless of his caliber of play, which compared to what we've seen from Pat in the past is a bit of a disappointment of late.
