So, it all started due to Papadopoulos. And there is definitely enough reasons to continue the FISA warrant given that it got approved 4 times (by multiple judges). Is this suppose to be pro-Trump??? This is actually saying the Russian investigation was and continue to be valid, not exactly the message Nunes is trying to push. Everything else is the same old political talking points from Republicans Paragraph 5) - The Papadopoulos info triggered the opening of an FBI investigation in late July 2016. FBI and DOJ obtained one initial FISA warrant targeting on Carter Page (Oct 2016) and three FISA renewal from the FISC (must be renewed every 90 days and each requires a SEPARATE finding of probably cause...)
First of all, there isn't much to the memo at all. Secondly, what is there can't be trusted. But going back to number 1, even if it could be trusted there just isn't much there. Perhaps if there wasn't such a build-up to the release. It's just so disappointing and anti-climatic. Look at some of the posters on these boards. They really got themselves pumped about the release of this memo, and they even tried at first to make a big deal out of it, but there heart wasn't in it, and the zeal seems to be draining from them quickly.

Well, seriously though, don't get carried away. Inside the rival bubble, I'm sure it "porves!" once and for all that the FBI is full of liberals who are trying to get Two Scoops. So 45 and the "freedom" caucus are just desperately trying to hold on to as much of their base as they can once Mueller issues his report.
If this were a movie script, someone would point out that the bumbling Nunes shouldn't be so bad at what he's trying to do because it just wouldn't be believable. Sadly some people are falling for this stuff hook line and sinker. But even those folks are few and far between.
Yes they are, for sure. You should look at Comey's twitter feed, where he says "that's it?" And lays into the memo and the partisan hack decision of it all. The wingers are AFTER HIM as a demonic acolyte of Hillary (?!?!?) They're not kidding. They literally consider Comey the traitor. That's how unhinged our political bubbles have become. The Russians aren't even in the top five list of enemies. The enemies are all democrats, or republicans who dare stand up to our Dear Leader -- same thing, it seems.
I'm just disappointed that Democrats were against releasing it. Don't pretend you have something to hide if there's nothing to hide. It's embarrassing the degree to which Republican legislators are carrying Trump's water for him. Such an orchestrated clown show.
You believe the Democrats, FBI, and DOJ threw out all the stops to prevent this 'nothingburger'? Its either that or you don't understand the memo and everyone else does.
This is a transparent attempt by Nunes to give Trump a reason to fire Rod Rosenstein ... because reasons. Trump and Nunes have not fooled anyone, especially Special Prosecutor Mueller. This will give Mueller an additional charge of obstruction to throw at Trump. Sad.

Those who claim this memo is underwhelming and no big deal are exposing their loyalties and bias. You have the house intel committee confirming that a presidential candidate paid a foreign agent for a tawdry fabricated dossier full of dirt on their opponent, and that document was later used (along with a yahoo news story, incidentally leaked by the author of the dossier himself, to corroborate the dossier) by the FBI to obtain a surveillance warrant. This is absolutely shameful and huge news and if it was Trump that commissioned the dossier instead of Clinton you’d all be calling for him to be immediately arrested for treason along with the FBI Director and the Deputy AG. Hell, y’all were ready to throw the book at Trump merely for his son taking 15 minutes to listen to an unsolicited Russian woman who claimed to have information on his opponent.
I actually think it's important and telling: 1. Not one, not two, but three sequential FISA warrants involving multiple judgments. No greater amount of smoke needed for me really. Investigation has to continue according to DOJ of two different administrations. 2. Worries easily predate the dossier. Boom. Otherwise, agree w GOP Senator McCain that releasing that memo serves neither party nor country. It just weakens us further, to Putin's delight.
