Y'know a 6'10" stretch 4 would be nice... if only Robert Horry was 20 years younger.

We have nothing to offer for anybody who has value.

Didn't we have four first round picks to offer? ;)

Yeah, we might as well change up our entire system to suit Gasol in the lineup.

Capela and Nene were our traditional centers, one of them is out for a month. We don't need another traditional center if Capela is still due to comeback.

How can you look at this roster and think a player like Gasol or Kanter should be a priority? Idgi.

Gasol is an expiring contract and won't be resigned for mega bucks. He is not supposed to be as good as Capela, which is why he can be had for a late 1st rounder. But he provides very necessary size and veteran quality. This team needs a legitimate big in addition to Capela, not as a replacement.

    And like I said -- http://www.espn.com/nba/story/_/id/25827113/memphis-grizzlies-listen-offers-marc-gasol-mike-conley

Nene is basically retired, you can't count on him.

You have to get what the team needs and with what Houston has to offer (late 1sts, a contract like Knight), Gasol is the best you can hope for.

I'm sure Marc Gasol would just love to be Capela's back up when he gets back.

YES! We should just hand them a bag of chips and a Coke.
    That should do it

No to Kanter for Knight and a 1st. He can't play any defense at all.

Agreed on Kanter but the Gasol idea is intriguing.

Truth be told: he’s one of the better big men in the conference and we are getting murdered - absolutely murdered - on the inside. In a purely hypothetical world where we wouldn’t get outbid (we would) and he would accept a bench role (he probably wouldn’t), this is an intriguing possibility. Especially for an aggressive GM that sees talent, not position.
