I think the team is basically shelving them both and trying to build some chemistry. Hopefully it will work out and they can be added back in later once their bodies and minds are right. I also think that keeping Tmac away from this homestand is smart if they are trying to salvage his career in Houston, because if the fans boo him, and there is a good chance of that, I don't think he would respond well. Watch for positive reports about him in the next two weeks about working hard to get back, and feeling better about his knee and the team....some PR from the Rocket's perspetive trying to rebuild public trust in Tracy. DD
This is one frustrating season. He was suppose to take 3 weeks off earlier in the season so after that all of this was suppose to be behind him. Now another 2 week break. My goodness. Yup things aren't looking too good.
That's an outlandish statement. You have nothing to back it up. This is not a PR move at all. It's simply a basketball decision. The in and out of the lineup thing isn't working for rick. He probably told Mcgrady to rest until he felt ready to play 35-40 minutes game in, game out. This PR stuff is nonsense.
We have already heard those reports this season. Well not about the team but we have already heard the "his knee is feeling better" thing. Something clearly isn't right. I think he is bothered by the injury because even when he has tried to run real fast he just doesn't look right but there is something else going on as well. So much potential for this team and it could all be slipping away.
He and Artest should both take 3 weeks. Artest's ankle will be good for sure, and Tracy...... well you just don't know, but maybe he'll be committed to getting strength in that knee.
Is this a testment for Yao? I feel they probably want to see whether Yao can be a francise player. If Yao can do well without Tmac and Artest, they may remain him as the core. Otherwise, they probably will trade Yao?!
Nope, thats why I'm just waiting for something to happen, a big bold thread that says someone is traded......
It is not outlandish at all, it is smart business. I agree they need to get Tmac healthy to play every day, but didn't you find it ironic that his time out is for the entire homestand when the team will be practicing together etc? Do I have any data to back it up, no...it is just a read on the situation. Just an opinion...but watch for the PR stuff.....that is what I would have the team do.... DD
After comming back from those 2 weeks off, he looked GREAT. But he looked great only for a period. Now he needs to make sure he is READY when he decides to come back. Ready to play at a high lever for the entire season left
DD, i think your right.....but I still think something is brewing....wish Doc Rocket would elaborate.....but are eyes are open.
