No chance hes a move to replace Scola.

This would be backup center and an expiring contract...

Rockets would be adding salary and likely to let Scola go? Especially with the salary committed and depth at PF?

IF it does happen, maybe Chandler can get his act together by watching how Yao trains and gets him motivated to get better.

That is an excellent deal! That will be less Yao pounding under neat the basket. Who will resist this trade knowing Jeffries, a bench player, is the only involved to get this trade works. Great move for the Rockets management, particularly Mr. Morey!

Why would you do this to help get all 3 superstars in the same team?? Trying to help them form a Championship team?? Good luck beating that...that's stupid. I don't care if the trade get us something. It's just a waste of effort to build yourself a Championship team while you're helping creating a dominant Championship team for another team.

    chandler's health worries me

but if its just a matter of exchanging contracts chandler fills a need whereas jeffries is a need bonus to have at the forward spots.

i dont like how jeffries doesnt even dunk

i do like how all chandler does is dunk

i dont like how chandler cant shoot if its not a dunk

i do like how chandler will block shots and play interior d

i'll take chandler for a year rental if he is healthy enough to play 20-25 minutes as a backup

I like Chandler, but why would we help Gayami get GayBron?

neither player is of much use to us on the court. at least jeffries is healthy, gets along with the team, and can be relied on to play solid D in certain matchups if needed. plus chandler is an idiot.

More would have to leave than just Jeffries. About $2.7 million more at minimum.

Chandler is making $12.75 million according to Hoopshype and Jeffries is making $6.883 million.

I know Chandler is injury prone, but I'm drooling at the prospect of him as our backup big for half a season. I say half a season because I'd expect his expiring deal to be part of any trade we made at the deadline. Incidentally, we would be turning a 7 million dollar expiring contract into a 10 million dollar or so expiring contract - allowing us to bring back what? 13 million dollars in salary? If we're chasing a big superstar to make a run for the championship in the next two years - that could be a huge help.

Is there anyway we can get rid of David Andersen in this deal too?

We would be sending Jeffries' contract to Charlotte and the other 3.1 million in Salary to Toronto to make this work, thats roughly 10 million. TC makes 12.6 million, Brad Miller would have cost about 2.5 million...so this wouldn't really impact Scola IMO.

Chandler would be great if he is healthy.

Why do the Rockets always trade for/acquire injury-prone players?
