Because good and healthy players are hard to get.

It's like pulling teeth, I swear...if you're against a move like this, then wow.

Didn't think you can combine Trade Exceptions with players.

Injury prone or not, Jeffries for an expiring Chandler is an AWESOME deal. I wouldn't bat an eyelid signing off on that one.

As opposed to the bench warming bum that is Jared Jefferies? I know a lot of people think he still has some sort of potential, but the ship has sailed. Chandler wouldnt make us a contender obviously, but it still makes us a better team, while saving money.

Does it make a difference if the player and TE are going to separate teams?

This would be a great trade for the Rockets. Tyson Chandler has been known to shut down Yao so also eliminate some competition. All were giving up is Jared Jeffries, a player who never plays. Chandler would be a very solid back up to Yao. I wish we were getting Beasley in this trade though...

Simmons referenced a trade where Miami gives up Beasley and perhaps lands Ariza. We know he's friends with Morey. Maybe he knows something?

His $12,750,000 contract expires at the end of next season. My God, what a magnificent trade chip.

The Bobcats would make out like bandits. I'd rather have Chandler than JJ, just because Chandler brings more size, and that is something this team lacks. Really just a matter of him being healthy.

possibly, not as strong in salary cap knowledge in regards to complex deals. I just always thought a team had to get back within 25% of what they gave out. And TE couldn't be combined. But I am sure, they can make this one big deal actually from many small deals which at some point would have the Rockets shelling out the exception for a player before sending that player to another team.

Can we include Ariza in this deal? Actually, he may be better this year, but I had to stop following his tweets due to annoyance
