it's not a math fail, the max for a re-upped 6 year max is like 16.5 mil this year.

Still wondering what Toronto gets out of this...perhaps a late 1st rounder from Miami and a trade exception?

I like it if he's anything like this 8th grade video of him slamming over helpless prep school boy.

    Agreed...

Now are we looking at this type of deal possibly before next year, or does Denver wait till the offseason?

I would think Denver would like to do this deal, THIS year before the trade deadline, assuming at some point they KNOW Melo is gone. IMO Melo's game would be considerably easier under RA's offense.

    Interesting idea...

I'd love this to happen. While a injury risk, Chandler gives as another legit 5 who can defend and spell Yao from time to time. With Chandler's current contract expiring and a potential lockout looming, this is a big auditioning season for Mr. Chandler.

    Splash!

Seriously, how could you not like this deal? It gives the Rockets just as much or more financial flexibility than they had before and a healthy Tyson Chandler completely changes the defensive dynamic of this team. No more layup drills for opposing teams when Chandler is in the game. He's also mobile enough to play PF alongside Yao and give the Rockets a twin towers effect against larger front lines.

Tyson is Bynum light. Not as good on offense but is slightly less injury prone.

This trade would give us a better shot a beating the lakers. Finally we will be able to guard Gasol and Bynum one on one at the same time and not get killed on the boards and the offensive end.

Hmmm Tyson Chandler wasn't really on my personal Radar but if he can play some interior D close to this (Watch Video) then i'm ok. But We need to resign Scola..

Tall Athletic, shot blocking, dunking PF/C... Fits my bill.

Well I guess this means no B. Miller.

    However I love this move.
I believe Tyson will shock some people. He nearly opted out of his contract this year. I believe hell be playing with a chip on his shoulder for sure.

Can't wait to see him play with Lowry and Brooks

We will have a huge frontline of
    Yao/chandlier/scola/hill/Hayes/Patterson

Tyson can teach hill his game
Then at trade deadline time we can ship Tyson and battier and a NY pick and get a high cal player like Danny Granger. (And who knows battier could get bought out and then re-sign with us).

Or keep Tyson and trade hill/Patterson/Brooks/NY pick for c. Paul

Either way would work with me BC we would still have size.
