A friend of mine works at the Cheesecake Factory in the galleria. James Harden walks in and sits at her table. She tells me he's is really rude in person. She goes on to say how he makes a remark about how slow the service is before he even orders it anticipating a negative outcome, then calls for the manager to stand beside his table asking him to not let anyone take pictures with him throughout the evening. The picture thing is understandable, but the way he asked was as if his ego were through the roof ( her words.) She felt as if he was just not very much a people person, not like Yao or Hakeem. Just wondering if anyone else knows if he is like this all the time or maybe it was just a raw night for him personally.
I posted something similar to this about Kevin Martin and Im very confident in saying that Kevin was not a high character person. I refuse to believe that about James. He's a very soft spoken individual to begin with so him barking any sort of orders or commands probably doesn't come out as clean as it would from Lin or Parsons. At least I'm hoping so...
If James Harden wants top notch service, maybe going to Cheesecake Factory isn't ideally the right choice lol. He doesn't want to be bothered, and I understand that. As long as he keeps dropping 25/5/5 and getting W's I could care less.
Most NBA players aren't nice people. A lot of they have rough background. They also live in life-styles that no average joe can understand. That being said, there are genuinely nice athletes out there, like David Robinson... Jeremy Lin, maybe?
I don't really know the purpose of this thread, but maybe I am more of a big meanie than James Harden. Does everyone have to be good at everything? I enjoy Harden's game, I'm not trying to marry him. And he's cool enough for me. If he screws me over, I'll let you know. Until then, go James Harden and go Rockets!
Are you sure it was actually Harden? Lots of famous guys have beard and mohawk. Maybe Mr.T lost some weight.
