How thankful are you now that the Melo trade didn't happen?

I'll include it in my pre-dinner prayer on Thanksgiving.

I ****ing told all the idiots that have been buying into the 3 stars or bust nonsense since 2012. He's not going to change all of a sudden, it's mind boggling how deluded some people are.

 

Melo is a better version of Ryno and would be a nice option on offense when the ball gets "sticky". Don't let the mediocre OKC team led by Westbrick change your opinion that he still would've been a perfect fit for this team.

 

lol still early on in the season guys...I personally think Melo would've fit us way better though.

 

Way better because Dantoni wouldn't have harden bring the ball down the court, give it to melo and get out the way while melo ISO'd 15+ times a game. Anybody acting like this is not a coaching issue/westbrooks fault is funny.

Having said that I hope Donovan keeps letting it happen. They're really good defensively and I don't want to see them in the playoffs even though I think we'd win

 

Im very thankful now that ive seen the thunder. Watched their last game against the nuggets and if they keep playing that iso ball , one of 3 things will happen, in no particular order

1. Coach will get fired
2. Coach will get fired
3. Coach will get fired

I wanted the trade badly in the summer, but just cause u want something doesnt mean its good for u

 

He is not a chemistry with iverson, stordmire, porzings, Westbrook, George. I think houston needs to buy a 3 pointer 20 plus shooter or some strong defence power forward such as zach Randolph or marc gasol for the inner is able to get champion

 

Probably a blessing in disguise tbh and I really wanted melo and still to this day think he would have been great here.

But that's because I know that harden gets guys wide open looks and space to do their thing on the catch with defenders scrambling at you.

Westbrook is talented but he's not in Hardens league in terms of bbiq and playmaking. Actually he's not better than harden at anything but dunking the basketball and I guess I'll give him rebounding too if I'm being nice.

Now we can focus on figuring out how to snag Lebron this offseason.

If the rocksts can somehow get Lebron and keep Gordon?

Watch out warriors because houston is instantly more talented imo.

Let Lebron play pf and run pick and roll with harden all game, be the most unstoppable play off alltime.

The best player in the game setting a screen for the best pick and roll player in the game and cp3 and Gordon waiting for catch and shoot.

He would've been different on this team.

The court vision Harden and CP3 have is way beyond WB or George. Melo would have been a finisher here, with no abiguity regarding his role.

The roles aren't clear in OKC. Reminds me of Miami when the big 3 teamed up. They will struggle at first, but even when they improve, it will never look natural on the court.

Lol okc won today but they didn’t look good. Only reason I saw OKC winning today was because of the clippers. They look lost. Clippers were missing gallo and Pat too. They came back from a big deficit but got blown again.
I still saw the same issues had before for both teams.
Okc iso ball mostly. Clippers no movement. Austin Rivers was bricking 4 point shots. They were missing Pat and milo badly tonight.

Glad spurs lost.

 

It amazes me that head coaches don't institute a pass 1st offense, instead of letting them go one on one. However, OKC is handicapped by not having accurate shooters in the game at all times. I would replace Melo with Ryno any day though. James and Chris would make Melo the USA Olympic player and not the NY/OKC player

 

Dude is a chucking menace... He is a cancer no matter what talent people think he holds.

 

How? CP3's Clippers were a mess and he jumped ship because of it. Don't act like Chris Paul is some savior because he ain't.

 

I think if OKC gets near trade deadline and they are out of contention (10th, 11th, or 12th seed), I could see them blowing the whole thing up

Melo still has his NTC so OKC won’t get anything for him

PG could be a half year rental so his value won’t be great either

OKC is in a tough position...even if everything works out, that team isn’t a contender and will be incredibly expensive to keep together
