    It's all about fit.

CP3 does not compliment Harden on the court , is an average shooter , slightly below average defender and average rebounder. Basically Just a guy when Harden is on the court and that's 20 of the 32 minutes per game CP3 plays.

You only get CP3 , the real deal while Harden is on the bench. That's 12 minutes per game.

The idea is to move CP3 for an improvement at the wing spot …. shooter / defender / rebounding - All the time.

Then you can find a guard to fill in those 12 minutes Harden is on the bench for a lot less than $40m.

Think about this - I brought this up two weeks ago and have seen it posted by multiple media sauces since -

CP3 for Kuzma and cap space - that generates a $36m trade exception and free's up ~$13.5m in cap space to play in free agency.

So you get Kuzma , a free agent above the MLE , the non taxed MLE , BAE and still have that monstrous trade exception to play with …. how great is that ?!

You may not have gotten the best player in CP3 but you got 3-4 quality players who better compliment Harden , assuming you use that cap space , MLE and BAE correctly.

Can you imagine P.J Tucker in a Suit, with his Muscles. Plus him wearing glasses.

P.J is going to be a very passionate Coach, everyone held accountable, especially the Superstar player.

Will Capela and Gordon plus pick yield Beal?

Would Orlando trade A Gordon and others for Paul?

    Sign WCS & House

Harden, Beal, Tucker, Gordon & WCS
    6th man House
    Others

It's easily resolved if James actually moves his ass so when CP has the ball. He is lazy and doesn't want to do that. Instead of practicing ISO **** he **** practice catching and shooting off screens and pics like Klay does.

Not really …. because CP3 is no better when Harden has the ball. He's an average shooter , average rebounder , average to below defender. Just a guy for $30% of your cap for 20 minutes a game and Cp3 for the other 12 minutes.

    Asset Allocation ….

The first option has a minor change of happening. The second one not at all.

Hopefully, he will be the head coach of the Houston Rockets after he retires.

why doesn't CP3 practice his catch & shoot 3 though? he should have been taking 1500 a day knowing that his running mate is the greatest defender magnet in the league. instead CP3 was passing up literally wide open 3's most of the playoffs

The bolded deals are definitely possibilities and i think represent appropriate trade value. Although the Dieng and 11 deal might not be enough since Dieng has an extra yeast left over the others.

I'm pretty sure Morey is working on getting a deal agreed to involving Capela at the draft barring an AD trade going down. And I suspect it is for an expiring and the best possible pick(s) he can get.

This type of deal could be leaked to Woj at the draft and then executed later in the summer giving both teams the opportunity to broaden the deal to include other teams and pieces but with each team essentially controlling their end of the leaked agreed to deal.

Once Morey finds a definitive trade for Capela he can then operate to compound benefits by merging it with another deal involving possibly EGo, Nene, Shump (SnT), the expiring contract that we're getting back for CC, and possibly the pick.

If we do not have a deal agreed to and at least leaked without being official by the end of the draft then trade value for Capela is even lower than I thought it would be.

Capela was good when not defended by Draymond Green. (I mean, he's no Thon Maker, but still.....;)) His contract is decent. Whether there's a market for him depends on so many factors. Obviously, does the other team need a center? Can the other team get a center on the cheap through the draft, not wanting to spend the extra $11+ million? Is EGO combined with Capela so you get TWO players? What are the picks involved, if any? Who's going out in the deal?

But you should be happy enough. Capela is no lock to return next year. If we keep him, fine, but some versatility from our big(s) would be nice.

And we have to make our best effort for AD to cause other teams to have to trump our offer and to possibly prevent another super team from forming that we have to beat without them paying the Pels top asset value.

I agree with you. I do not think we will get AD. But we're going to offer up 4 firsts plus Capela Ego and Nene plus maybe even pick swaps and we're going to be willing to take back Hill"s contract.

That is a substantial offer. And is what the Lakers Celtics Nets Knicks and everybody else will have to top.

I personally can see the Knicks topping it with #3 plus Smith Knox Nkitlina the young center, etc., plus future picks. Which would be the ultimate play for the Knicks to get cap space for Kyrie and KD.

So i don't think we'll get AD. But if we haven't already we are going to present an all- in offer at the draft for AD which will include EGo going elsewhere for some sort of pick and expiring and possibly Capela going elsewhere for the same.

Then once the Pels say no to that deal and the Lakers say no to sending Lebron and the Warriors/KD dau no to an opt in and trade then we are most likely going to find a home for Capela and leak an agreed to deal involving him going to a team for an expiring contract and draft pick asset(s) that will be consummated at a later date after the moratorium to give both teams time to broaden the original agreed to deal.

The exception to this would be IF Butler or KD pushes for an opt in and trade before the draft and their teams agree to a deal (not likely before the draft) or if possibly Lebron asks out (not likely either).

Yep give the ball to CP1.5 so he can turn the ball over almost as often as he gets an assist. You aren't going to beat a team like Golden State when your starting point guard has an assist to turnover ratio of 1.9 and he can't even beat centers off the dribble.
