In other words: trade the veterans with high salaries for younger guys/rookies/draft picks so Tillman doesn't have to pay luxury tax next year.

    It should be:
    DJ
    AD
    Jimmy
    Harden
    CP3
We are going into the luxury tax this year.

I don't see PJ Tucker being moved. He is more valuable to the Rockets than he would be for other teams. I don't see getting the right value back.

I think one of either Capela or Gordon is moved. Gordon either has to be moved OR the Rockets have to get an extension for him. Because he can't start the season not extended and looking at UFA status next summer with the ability to leave and get nothing in return. This is important.

With Capela, he is the 3rd highest paid player on the team. He does provide value but can they get 75% of that value with a similar player at a much smaller cost? Capela was a negative vs the Warriors and that is the red flag. And why he is most likely to be moved.

we need to keep THICC. He's our only lock down defender after losing P.Bev. We need some dogs in this team if we wanna go far into the playoffs..

We could bring Beverley back. I mean dude is a free agent. He still has his home here in Houston too.

    From @KellyUnchained

"House wants to be a Rocket for a long time, but he hasn’t heard anything since the season ended." "Per a league source, Houston is prepared to match any offer Danuel House Jr receives once June 30 hits"

    --

"As for Tucker, he’d love to have extension talks take place this summer, two people close to Tucker have stated. Houston is enamored with Tucker, wants him to retire here and has even discussed a role for him within the team when his playing days are up."

    --

"Despite the reports stating everyone save Harden is available, any Tucker trade would come at the strong disapproval of both Coach D’Antoni and James Harden."

    --

One person close to Gordon still believes Houston could move him this summer or before the trade deadline if a long-term extension agreement can’t be reached.

    Written as if I wrote.

I just cannot believe Tuck has the value to others that he does to TheGoodGuys (except for teams needing one last oomph to get them over the top). Even if a healthy Luc signed back w/a vet's min.

I get that the Rockets look at players like robots developed to shoot 3s, 2s and free throws. They treat them as such relative to other teams (just tradable assets).

I think that we have enough data now to begin to see that it doesn’t work.

DJ said that he would come on a discount. Clearly we would have to pay Jimmy. I trust other quality free agents would want to join this kind of team for league minimum.

They’re as close to a chip as we are right now. Rockets are a WCF team. I thought they’d handily best the ECF winner but now I don’t. They have really high highs and really low lows. Can’t win like that.

last i checked no other team competed as closely throughout all the games than houston in the west.

and the ec teams dont have really highs and lows? people act like houston are the only ones that go through the things they go through. Far from it.

And so we don’t have to root for a mediocre team and instead root for potential

Get over it. We aren’t beating the warriors unless they break up and they aren’t so I’m done with this core.

Eh. Not really hanging my hat on that quite as much as I used to. I was scared to death when Durant went down. I was. As long as Durant was there, we would at least have that excuse. I knew with him gone, the Rockets had a chance to get exposed as frauds.

    They were.

yeah houston wasn't able to take advantage. that's obvious. but if you want to label them as frauds then everyone else must be as well. or whatever you want to label it if not frauds. it doesn't really matter because nobody else is beating GS either
