He’s right. The obvious refusal to call continuation for him is outrageous and that doesn’t even touch the offensive fouls. I know he gets a lot of free throws. If the nba doesn’t like free throws they need to eliminate fouls, not tell the referees to target one guy and just exercise willful blindness.
i loved that he punked pat fraher at the end. hopefully it makes sportscenter and the bspn jackass talking heads have a big circle jerk diss-cuss-ion over it. maybe they'll even accidentally bring up this year's new Harden Rules and then wonder why in the F there is even something like that. oh ya, several GM's got together (conspired together) to come up with that.
Refs have way too much power and protection in the NBA. You have instant replay, you have an off-site replay hub, you have all the right tools and tech to make sure referees get calls right and they don't have to stop the game and converse for 3 minutes each and every time. The replay booth should be watching the game and fouling out that Clippers midget scrub when the refs got the call blatantly wrong. Pat Fraher that little insecure piece of **** should be fined and suspended and honestly should be investigated.
I don't think Harden gives a **** about the fines with how much he makes. He can criticize the officials every post-game interview and still be well off. He can even write it off as a tax deductible (doubt he does his own taxes though). Funny part is, Harden probably knows the rulebook better than the refs themselves since he's seeking to draw fouls so often. Ofcourse it's going to be frustrating, especially when the league went out of their way to correct the "Harden foul" in the off-season. In Harden's mind, he's playing by the rules when it comes to drawing contact but to everyone else who's not a fan of his, thinks he's just flopping.
The refs should be held accountable, just as most jobs are scrutinized. I'm not saying Harden is right to criticize, but didn't the NBA have those "last 2 minutes" reports, a season or two, ago? They should expand that. I get that the refs have a really hard job, but who evaluates the referees? They have so power in dictating the way a game flows.
Harden shouldn't be the only one to speak out about this. MDA and other teammates need soundbites out there, for solidarity. It's one thing if Harden is the only one to speak up. It's another if your entire team has your back.
Yeah, but the refs still control the game, to a certain extent. "Oh, you called out a fellow referee? Guess I'll screw you over even more." You can't even prove if the referee has a grudge against you. It's like Harden said - "I made a mistake" or "I didn't see it" are the refs go-tos. They say this, and you can't do anything about it, as a player.
stop being a whiny bish and just play. if Harden didn't commit braindead turnovers and played some semblance of defense, we wouldn't have lost
There's a fine line between incompetence and corruption. The NBA has mastered the art of the tight rope walk. I'll just leave it at that.
