without watching Espn's take, my first take is

    F*CKING YES

Edit: and after seeing other people's summaries on what they discussed in the video, I won't be watching it at all. If the "analysts" can't bother to do any research before spouting off a dumb take, then I won't be giving their video any additional views.

Ugh, I see Richard Jefferson I ignore. He and Ryan Hollins annoy the crap out of me.

Ok I watched it. One guy said, "James Harden gets 40 points, A LOT of guys can get 40 points a game"..... please don't watch this video.

I wish I can find somewhere on the internet what Richard Jefferson voted for MVP when Russ win his because of the triple double with the 7th seed.

The "he's playing zero defense" is just such a lazy and incorrect narrative now.

Harden's defense is without a doubt more useful that Curry's. How does the Golden Boy continue to go unscathed on his piss poor, worse than Kyrie, defense. Harden can cover a big in the low block...that makes him vastly more useful than Curry and Kyrie.

Wtf did I just watch? Why do people say harden don’t play defense? Isn’t he in the top of the list on steals per game? Poor harden. The “no defense “ will stick with him for the rest of his legacy

You play less than half a year and 3 months of elite play warrants an MVP trophy now.

Players deserve it but it does not come close to a championship.

Richard Jefferson? Really? He's not going to be impressed with Harden for MVP until he's doing this when the Rockets are up to 3rd place? WTF dude, we're at 4th and 2 games out of 3rd place. We're 3 games out of FIRST place. Does this guy even watch basketball anymore? He seems incredibly ignorant about the Western Conference standings. I guess all you have to do is be an ex-NBA and competently flap your gums to get a job now a days.

An NBA season does not even have 12 months. The offseason is about 4-5 months.

Just saying this business is well paid. Athletes are well paid. They play a lot in a short, condensed season.

All those analysts and ex dudes on shows are well paid too.

Everyone got their opinions. Athletes are likely to go hot over 2, 3 months and are all of a sudden back in the MVP convo.

Harden has been eerily consistent though.
