I agree with everything except 3 where Melo has a high ceiling. Melo is our last resort at the SF for cheap. Cheap is the key word as we could trade to get an upgrade but that's a big if.
I don't want to hear anyone's crying opinion if you weren't around before the first two chips and when we won them..
Couldn't have it said better. Let's just hope for the best when/if Melo comes. If Melo ever wants to be seen as a winner this is the time, a WCF trip here would erase some of his struggles from the past ( and he made a lot of money during that time).
dont get all the negative of signing melo (would be difficult to beat the warriors anyways) He can score- and has been a 10 + all star
He's a shell of what he once was. Now the Rockets are good enough(provided they find someone to fill Luc's role) that they don't need Melo the All-Star in order to compete for a title. Melo scoring 15 PPG is fine(assuming he doesn't need 20+ shots a game to get those points). I have no problem with signing the guy. But the Rockets must replace Luc. Whoever they get won't be as good defensively. But they'll have a decent 3-headed monster at small forward. Melo for offense(including posting up). Green for outside shooting and finishing on the break. And Luc's replacement for defensive stops(and hopefully the occasional 3-pointer).
Serious question what’s up with all the Melo hate is his defense that bad? He averaged 16 points a game last year and looked great against us most games. Don’t y’all think CP will keep him in check like he does Harden? At this point what other options do we have? None
Either one would be good at the 3 spot, I think Ennis may be better defensively, while Nunnally is better offensively. After losing both Ariza and Luc, I'm leaning towards Ennis.
