I think the setting would need to be Gothamesque for it to work.

I doubt they keep Chrisitan Bale, but what else is new?

A monkey (or Michael Bay) can direct this movie and it'll make money. The name recognition is just too great. Whether it sucks or not, people will still see it. No continuity needed. You guys know I'm right.

When are they going to make the Harvey Birdman Attorney at Law movie?

I agree with your premise. However, I'm sure WB wants a franchise out of this..... Meaning JLA2 and JLA3(possible spin offs) .That's why said monkey/Bay wouldn't work. This will not be a one and done.

Ben Affleck? Jajajaja!!!! It's gonna be set Boston and Wonder Woman will talk like Melissa Leo in The Fighter. Fawking Aquanman and Flash will get into a southie style fist fight over the 2004 Red Sox being on roids or not.

Lmao that's what me and my friend were saying. Plus this guy wants to be in it too if he's directing. He had his chance as a superhero and blew it.

Why is Sony ever going to give up spider man. It is pretty much guaranteed 7-800 mil whether the movie sucks or not.

I always though wolverine and spider-man were marvel's two most popular characters so the avengers did well for not having marvel's top characters.

Ben's had directed gone baby gone and the town, both were excellent movies imo. I guess JLA HQ could be in Boston.

Quality of the movie counts. Superman is probably the most famous of all but those movies never do anything. Wolverine didn't do anything. If the movies are good people come. People like good comic book movies because they're good movies, not because they're comic book movies.

You really gotta give Avi Arad and Marvel Studios credit for the over half billion dollar gamble that was the financial basis for the Marvel Cinematic Universe. That and having the foresight to build up to the Avengers with movies of B-list characters. They somehow made a profit on Thor movie. Who the hell cares about Thor?!?

Nearly $400M is nothing to scoff at, which Superman Returns and Wolverine both nearly earned.

Exactly, they make money just by the virtual of being Superman and Wolverine despite a mediocre plot. With the Justice League, you have names galore. It's not even a gamble anymore. It will make money.

True, very true. But not by comparison. The movie has to be good to earn. But yeah, the names do attract an audience, especially since BB.
